Hey guys what's up. I got a 90 Honda Civic DX 4 door. Not much done to it yet but working on the stereo system right at the moment so we'll see how it turns out. Anyhow just wanted to throw out a howdy to everybody.

i plan on getting rid of the 98 plymouth neon i now drive, and plan getting a red 97 gsr integra with 40,000miles on it that i recently found on the internet. now Are these cars as good as what people say they are? being Vtec and all.. Just thought id ask you vtec drivers. Im looking for something with potential.

Yes, they are great cars, a few pros and cons for each though. The positives first. Alot of performance potential, and parts including Oem and aftermarket are easy to find. The cons: there are alot of honda/acura drivers, and you are going to pay a pretty penny for that year make model and low milage. Everyone is seeking that car to be on the bandwagon....and don't anyone say I am on the bandwagon, b/c I wanted an Si since they first came out in 99, I remember drooling over them....finally my dreams came true, now only for a g/f.... 8)

I agree with adam, a lot of good potential and parts availability... However you can build the car tastefully or distastefully... That, my friend, is up to you.
I love the snake eye integras, and would love to find a shell with a full interior but no motor. If so, I'd be right there on that bandwagon with ya!

yea i agree with all but there isn't a car i would want more besides a R33 Skyline  but thats not happening soon. I love the new body style shape and the new head light style used. also the price on that car 8,700 for it. I think thats a pritty good deal..... Thanks for the REPLYS :D

That seems really good. Just make sure to check it over real well, make the engine isn't burning oil, and the tranny is free of grinds... 8)

Do some searching on the internet, and learn how to measure the frame to make sure it's straight. Look for paint scraped off on the bolts holding fenders, panels, etc. to ensure that it hasn't been wrecked.
If that is all good, buy it. Then bring it to parkersburg some saturday, and let us see it. Then I can drive it, and I'll tell you for sure if it is a good car or not....

One thing about Hondas VTEC isnt some special magical thing that gives you tons of HP personally Id rather build up a nonvtec car.

Good call. The B18A1/B1 Integra LS NON-VTEC Head actually flows more CFM than a VTEC head, making it extremely good for forced induction applications.

Does anyone know about Carfax?? do they do accurate check ups? because there is an option to carfax report the car b4 u buy..If that is all good, buy it. Then bring it to parkersburg some saturday, and let us see it. Then I can drive it, and I'll tell you for sure if it is a good car or not.... I'l think about it, we can trade for a night

Good point, definatly do a carfax if you are GOING to by it. Some of the forums also allow you to do carfax's for free if you sign up....just a thought.... 8)
