My Uncle got his kids a few mp3 players...and was wondering where to get the music...
I was wondering what everyone uses....
I used Kazaa Lite for some time....until everything came back scrambled...
I then moved on to WinMx....
What else ?? 8)

I use LimeWire now that BitTorrents is under heavy scrutiny.

hate to say it, but I use i-tunes. Yea, its not free, but its only 99cents. (thats pretty cheap)
I like i-tunes because it always has what I want, and it takes just 20 secoonds to download. That beats the long searching and and downloading it sometimes takes to use a sharing program.
However, I will say that I've "heard" of a program *cough* called Direct Connect *cough* that is easy to use, has in incredible amount of members, and guarantees fast downloading. (the more you share the more access you have...many people share more than 100GB of stuff)
I've "heard" that Direct Connect also has *cough* movies too amongst other things.
MP3 player sounds like fun, lets us know how you like it.

On my PC at home, I use Shareaza. Not a brilliant program, but its easy to use, I get countless search results, and it'll even handle torrent files. Here at school I am forced to use Limewire (not too many other programs for MAC) and bittorrent. Torrents seem to be the best way to go, but its getting hard to find any. A lot of sites like suprnova.org are getting shut down.

I'm sharing like 30 gigs of home video lol. It doesn't work right on my old computer, though. It won't let me look for hubs in the public section. My new computer works fine with it, but it's still hard to find anything good.

Limewire is probably the best. I dont think it has adware or whatever, well at least mine doesnt act up, i used Adaware after i got done installing it. 98% of the files on there are good, as for Kazaa Lite, like 40% of the files on there are actually what they say they are. Limewire is pretty fast, except i hate that its java based.
Kazaa used to be great, but then it started screwing up everything i dl.. id get it an itd sound like funk master flex was scratchin a record. I use WinMX its worked fine for me

Most everything aside from Exeem, and DC++ suck. Hands down. LimeWire, WinMX, Sharaza wtf ever you want. Kazaa/Morpheus Music Desktop/Sharaza are all highly polluted networks. These are what many people use.
I know I'm being a nay-sayer and only negative, but in the best interest of the programs I use I'm not going to mention them.
Great programs are hard to find, and require the trust of users.
WASTE, created by WinAmp creator Justin Frankel, was unofficially released for only about 6 hours to the internet, but copies can still be found. WASTE is probably the best. It's slightly less anonymous per-se, because you need at least ONE IP address of someone who will share with you.
The benefit is that it's entirely encrypted transmissions, with a blowfish cypher strength of your choice, and that it's a trusted network. You can only get stuff from/through people that you have added their public key. They also have to ad YOUR public key to show they trust you and you're not just leeching. It's still up & down, due to the fact there's 0 support for the program. But it's smart, and it works, faster & easier to search than FTP/Kazaa/Sharaza/WinMX/LimeWire whatever.
hmm.. proly find it on some IRC networks im sure?
Doesnt some things like limewire ect. share the same network as a few other programs? Basically being dif software but youre perusing from the same ppl as you would using a dif prog?

I use Imesh but downloaded it from a guy in the UK who went through and removed all the spy and adware and eliminated the sharing option. Works as good as Kazalite.
