I have seen that before. I think it's cool that they're letting people know that. The battery costs almost as much as the iPod itself.

Very good video... Its a tragedy about the battery life, I found out about about a week after i bought my 20G. But, i'd say 18 months is well worth what I payed. I hear that on the newest gen of Ipod (which I have) the problem was fixed, and that if the battery does need replaced, it'll only take $50... But I saw an episode of "The Screen Savers," and they explained how to replace the battery yourself... so its really not that big of a problem.

That video is a bit outdated but still great. Apple made a big mistake with the iPod in early generations, however that video is no longer "true".
The battery problem has been fixed and the battery in the 4th Generation iPod is much better than the earlier models.
For those who's iPod (any generation) is out of warranty, Apple has an iPod battery replacement program where they CAN replace the battery by Apple with a new OEM Battery for $99.00. Find out more here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/battery.html
Also, if you are the least bit tech savvy, you can replace your own dead iPod battery for under $30 (tools that won't scratch your iPod and instructions included) here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/ipod/batteries/.
On a side note: Some of those posters with the stencil etching on them are still up in New York, I saw one some 8 blocks from the World Trade Center complex.[/url]
