My job sucks. I am salary, work a lot of hours, and receive no compensation for the extra work that I put in.

My house is dirty, and I'm in too crappy of a mood to be motivated to clean it.

I have about 8 projects around the house and for other people that I've started and have no time to finish because I work from about 7am until 7pm every day.

I am a totally different person at work. Sometimes I hate myself for that. Most days I think that if I have to be someone else to work here, I probably shouldn't be working here.

They boosted the automotive scene in general...it just gave import drivers some lame-ass complex about how their 160 HP VTEC I-4 is inherently superior to 350 HP pushrod V8's because of some extra technology. Cars are cars, regardless of where they come from. It pisses me off that if your car is modified, everyone thinks that it has something to do with that movie. I was doing stuff to my car way before that movie came out and will continue to do so even when it's uncool.

Creationism sounds a bit far fetched to me but who am I to judge; I voted for Kerry in '04 and Nader in '00. I think the majority of the US still believes in "Christian" morals and that means we have to believe the Bible. That's what went wrong with Christianity, though. It's hateful, all-knowing, closed-minded, and completely misinterpreted. I think Christians need to take a hard look at themselves and think "What would Jesus REALLY do? Would he bomb this country? Would he hate homosexuals? Would he look down on others? Would he fail to tip the pizza guy?"

Religion is necessary because people can't survive in today's society without some system of self-government. Life is meant to be primitive but has become fast-paced and complicated. The average person wouldn't really know how to cope with the thought that everything they ever worked for could be destroyed in one second. Many people also can't seem to restrain their behavior unless there is some fear of punishment or consequence. If all people were patient, polite, and responsible, society would run much smoother. Personally, this is one of the main reasons I behave the way I do. Some believe that it would be a waste of effort to be this way because it won't change how everyone else behaves...but, it just might. Live a good life and allow others to do so, too. If there is something that you can do to make someone's life better without endangering your own or hindering your own happiness, do it. Those who do not live with compassion, humanity, and integrity should be treated as such :D

Maybe that 1% needs all that money. They may have 3,451,739 kids. Or maybe they pay their workers an equal share of their earnings, since, after all, the worker is the reason that they have the money in the first place. Maybe they became rich by getting tips while doing volunteer work with the homeless. Maybe they made the money by hiring American workers to work in American factories for $70,000 a year (+ benefits, of course) and paying all of their applicable taxes. Maybe these guys are giving away 90% of their money to great charities and organizations that don't necessarily benefit them directly. Hey, why are you laughing?! :roll:

It is actually something that I can't stand about FWD cars..seems like anything over 200hp to the fronts has dumb torque sterr. I suppose you get use to it thou, or do you?

Depends on the axles setup. Alot of newer cars are using equal length axles to help alleviate torque steer.

My stock bumper looks like hell...really. The paint is peeling off of it, for one. The car has been in a couple fender benders (before I got it), and whoever painted it apparently didn't take into consideration that the front bumper flexes, and the paint cracked and peeled like crazy. The back bumper is starting to do the same thing. Even though it's just in primer, I still like the way it looks on there. I'm so poor that no one even thinks anything of it. They just say, "Oh, well, he's poor, so it's ok." :wink:

Nope, still rockin the little gay stock wing. The only wing I actually like for my car is the Pro Stock from RK Sport, and it's loooong. It only sticks up like 3-4 inches, but sticks back about 8. It's smooth though.

so im drivin thru belpre gettin lunch yesterday right.. an i see this goldish lookin thing, so i drive down that road to see what it is.. after all it beats bein at work. so i get up to it, an its shit goldish colored shitbox of an old accord.. kitted out an what not, with vynil on the back glass in small txt which says 'it may be crooked but it gets the job done' .. so after i laugh for what seemed like a half hour, i notice the eleventeen gauges on the dash ect. but wait, there's more! across the steeet from this thing sits a green accord with some type of flat black / primer design on the hood.. sweet. and a white lude' with what appeared to be 17's or so on the back, stocks up front, and a huge friggin wing.. i would of killed for a camera

Would it defnitely throw a CEL if my O2 sensor went bad in my 93 Grand Am? I looked up the part on advanceautoparts.com and it says the service interval is 30K mi and I have 104K on my car. I have been getting worse gas mileage lately (may be cold weather and/or "winter gas" if that stuff really exists) and my car seems like it's lacking (more than usual). I put my stock chip back in because the JET chip doesn't allow for engine diagnostics to work. I drove it around for 10 or 15 minutes and din't get any codes. I also thought about using Seafoam through a vacuum line or something to see if that would help bring back some lost power. :?

If your primary o2 sensor fails, it will throw you into limp mode...@ least thats the way it is in Honda's.

If it is just going bad, it won't throw a code, but it will definatly affect your gas milage.

I would recommened replacing it anyway.

Prolly time for a good overhaul anyway..

I have MSD 8.5 mm wires, AC Delco RapidFire plugs (I think they're actually platinum, but I didn't know that ~3-4 years ago), and a distributerless ignition system (stupid Hondas and their low-tech ignitions lol). Ignition is doing pretty well for now I think, but for some reason it just feels like my car isn't going quite as well as it used to. I thought it may be brake drag, but I have no idea how to check. It could also be related to my transmission, but I've never heard of an automatic trans that slipped like that. I'm thinking about going out and driving for a while longer to see if any codes come up. My computer definitely had to re-learn after I put my stock chip back in. It stumbled and stalled after a couple seconds, but it started right back up and just hobbled for a minute or two. I would likely blame the removal of my MAF screen for the stalling :oops: .

As for selling my car and keeping the Suby...screw that, my Grand Am would run circles around that Legacy. Besides lacking in acceleration, I really have no complaints with my car. Since it's not something I have to have available to drive at all times, I have time to swap to manual trans or bolt on the supercharger from the Series 1 3.8 V6 :D . I know a Grand Am isn't real high on the "cool" factor, but I love my car. If I was willing to get rid of my car for anything, I would've had a new car long ago. If everyone sold their cars because they were old and boring, who would make autocross fun? It would be the SWVR of NASIOC and DSMtuners if it weren't for all the oddballs tossed in there. The Top 5 of this past auto-x was rounded out by a Prelude, a stock N/A Mini, a Neon, and a Mustang GT. Once again, congratulations on the win, Davis. However, it was snowing, and those guys managed to outrun every other AWD car there. If I was to sell my car, I would probably get a whopping 2 grand for it. I don't think it's worth giving up for 2 grand. I have spent that much on parts.

Also, I decided to go ahead and swap o2 sensors. The whole process took LITERALLY 5-10 minutes. I have been dreading it forever, and it was the easiest thing I've ever done to a car. My o2 sensor was 19.98. How much are everyone else's? April's Alero is around $75, and my mom's Catera's, which has 4 o2 sensors (upstream and downstream on each side of her exhaust), cost just under $400 a piece :shock: .

*Edit: The Legacy's o2 sensor is $328 for the downstream. Upstream's not listed. That's $309 more than my Grand Am's. That's....retarded.

You don't want to run PURE ethanol, but yes, I used to have a teacher that loved to play with ethanol. And that is where you will get serious power. But, I don't really know enough about to tell ya much.

that sounds a lot like Methanol, but maybe Ethanol is similar.

I don't know alot about it either...

I do know several people that run it on s/c vehicles to help prevent detonation...

It sorta has cooling properties I guess simiar to n2o....thats my guess..... 8)

Are you guys talking about the same thing as I am? I am talking about when you go to a gas station and there is a label on the pump that says something like "may contain up to 10% ethanol." I always thought that was kinda the cheap thing to do..?
