Where's a good place to shop around? I tried pricegrabber, which led me to a few sites, but I wanted to check to see if it was missing something important.
Any Make/Model suggestions? I've had a lot of luck and history with JVCs, but willing to try something new. And I'd like to keep it under $200, maybe 250, if possible.
Its for the Sube.

I like pioneers, they are easy to tune with, and they are cheap and quite durable.

Wow, I am 90% Kenwood, and 10% Aiwa. Kenwood's had the best sound quality, and Aiwa has been the most reliable. I've had the same Aiwa headunit since 2000, and there's nothing wrong with it. I've had it through a Jeep, 2 trucks, and now its in my mom's Tarus. Both of the headunit's have had a rotary dial for volume, so there's no wearing out of the volume button. The Kenwood that I currently own is a KDC-MPV5025 It's a great MP3/CD player. It has 47 different colors on the background. It has LOADS of options for bass/treb. frequency/tone and even a secruity cd option where if someone steals the cdplayer it's useless till they put in your key cd. Its beautiful. It also has an optional audio input you can get. I have my DVD player running through it so I have the surround sound for videos running through my subs and everything.
As for where to shop. http://www.crutchfield.com that's wehre I got my Aiwa from. THey have GREAT tech support, and friendly people to order from. They will help you find the ideal part. They also have a free monthly catalog. A++ in my mind. Their cdplayers also come with all the mounting hardware and wiring harness's necessary to complete the job easily. They have competitive prices with even Ebay. Much better service and support as well.

Where I work I see a lot of broken CD Players:
50% Aiwa and other junk like legacy
30% JVC
10% Kenwood...although I do like their Excelon stuff
5% Alpine...especially ones with motorized faces
the other 5% is mixed between Pioneer and Panasonic
don't ever see any broken Eclipse or Clarion units...not sure if that's just because we don't sell them or what.

50% Aiwa and other junk like legacy

30% JVC
crap, pure crap.. every one i had was a pile
10% Kenwood...although I do like their Excelon stuff
had 1 a long time ago.. was ok but nothin to write home about
5% Alpine...especially ones with motorized faces
havent had an alpine since back in the day.. allways had good luck with them tho
the other 5% is mixed between Pioneer and Panasonic
every pioneer ive had was bulletproof.. you can throw a peice of sandpaper in it an it'd make music out of it. ive had 2 panasonics an both were really nice.. just sounds odd saying you have a panasonic
don't ever see any broken Eclipse or Clarion units...not sure if that's just because we don't sell them or what.
ive never had either one of those break on me.. but i think eclipse is garbage i hated mine.. clarion is nice tho i have 2 of those in my closet lol

Ok, went ahead and put in an order for the Pioneer DEH-P7600MP (http://www.thezeb.com/p-Pioneer-DEH-P7600MP-CD-MP3-Stereo-Receiver-108634.htm). Thanks for the help, fellas.

Haven't decided whether I'll be putting anything else in it, but if I do, what are some good recommendations? I haven't worked with car audio in nearly 8 years now, so I'm not up to date with whats hot. Back then, my amps were Phoenix Gold, my 10s were JL, and components were Eclipse.
That still pretty much the norm? Are there comparable brands that offer similar quality, at a more reasonable price?

Ok, probably going to install a good set of components, and maybe a small-mid sized amp to power them. Don't think I want to sacrifice my cargo area for an enclosure, so I'll most likely just forget about subs.
In the past, I've used MB Quart, Infinitiy, and Eclipse components.
Since I'll be forgoing subs, I'd like something with a nice range, and some low end, but maintaining sound quality. I don't want to subject my bass lines to the cars around me (like the old school Pioneer 6x9s were good at), but I don't want to drive around listening to only mid/high levels.
Suggestions?
*Edit - Looks like I have 6.5's in the front doors, and 4's in the back doors.*

Are the 3/4 way speakers really any better than the 2 way?

I don't think you'll have to worry about having too much bass with 6.5's and 4's...or any at all for that matter.

I'm looking at these 6.5s (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vFQOgDyO75h/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=130TSA1680) for the front doors. Look ok?
The RMS rating is 50W, peak is 220W. How big of an amp would y'all suggest I use, assuming I can find 4's for the back doors with similar power handling?
