.. and i mean junkies in the nicest possible way

i've always been a domestics kinda guy.. .. well, in the cars that have counted in my driving career anyway.. (72 chevelle, 98 dodge ram, 02 durango)

so the question is this.. whats the closest thing, apearance wise, to a nissan r34 skyline on american soil?.. barring an actual imported skyline.

hmm...a skyline is a different sorta creature b/c of performance not looks..lol...but I guess the best thing that would closely match it would be a 240sx with a skyline conversion....

yeah, the performance would be nice to go with the looks..
thats my next question.. other than an evo or sti.. or Vr4.

The closest car as far as performance factors are concerned???...If that is the question then I would have to throw a vote to a Porshe Turbo AWD...that would surpass factory power numbers for the skyline and still maintain an AWD perspective even though the skyline is majorily a rear wheal drive and only uses all four wheel when the back two have lost traction...also the skyline is only alowed to have 280hp from factory b/c there is an odd law in japan about the production of sports cars...even though that seems low for a twin turbo many people agree the the skyline still produces in excess of 300+horsepower to the wheels...neway thats my thoughts on it...ne one else???

Skyline: straight 6 w/turbocharger that responds well to modifications and for the most part is RWD???

!SUPRA! (but you don't get AWD)

The Supra is the first car that I thought of as far as the inline 6, but I downloaded an episode of "Top Gear" a couple of days ago that tested out "similar cars" namely AWD...and the four cars where the EVO, the Impreza, Skyline, and a Porshe turbo...Since we werent allowed to include either the impreza or the EVO I thought it would be in progression to suggest the Porshe Turbo...neway if you get a chance download that episode... 8)

The skyline has been here for a couple of years in the form of an Infinity. I think its the G35 its basically the four door version of the skyline in Japan we only here about the big turbo coupes but they also come in four doors over there. :)

G35 coupe = 280
G35 sedan = 260 hp.

A neighbor across the street from me has the G35 coupe....all I can say is pure sex....especially the exhuast note.... 8)

I almost got the G35 coupe S. Great looking car, but the performance just wasn't there for me. (however would probably make a better daily driver, while the STi is ok, its a bit rough on trips over 3 hrs.)

Would be interesting if they come out with more sportier versions.

Its definately not the coupe I think thats based off the 350z. I will have to find it might be the the G35 sports sedan though I will find it JDM yo! Its basicall a reskined nonturbo version though with awd.

Alot of the 300zx owners take all of the AWS stuff off because it doesnt help out to much and the pumps for it just create drag on the power train. The rear wheels barely turn any ways and its only found on the turbo models.
