Just because the car is American doesn't mean he is, too. The Mustang that wrecked TWICE at Snowshoe was driven by some British guy, and I see people from every country in the world in my Grand Am and Alero forums. I have seen numerous Nurburgring and Audobahn videos with SRT-4's in them. A Camaro is probably the cheapest (modern) 300 HP you can buy, including in Germany.

In defence, the guy has supposedly lapped at Hockheim before and has a car thats setup for that track.

Heck F1 drivers have done similar. (Think Montoya vs. Schuy at the tunnel at Monaco GP 2004)
