Well, I've never seen anyone do this before. There's no gore, so it's pretty funny.
Just click the link...I don't think you can save as.

I'm not pointing fingers but please keep in mind the following rhetorical questions:

How many people here have ridden motorcycles?

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle?

Have you ever wrecked one?

Have you ever tried to do a high-rpm launch?

Ever dumped the clutch and missed the foot-pegs?

I have, I've ridden a pretty high power 250 Yamaha for quite some time. (Being about 10 years) It's a 2 cycle, with a very mean power-band. It'll literally jump right out from underneath of me.

I can see what he did, I know what he did and didn't do as well.

Didn't have a good seating position on the bike, along with a really good grip on the bars, and his right foot wasn't firmly placed on the peg.

He handled the burn out fine, but that was low traction. He got caught off guard or didn't anticipate the amount of pull his bike would have as well as much height it would lift on take off. His foot slipped off the peg, bike pulled him along and up on the initial wheelie. Then when it came back down it jarred him further loosened his grip on the bars, as he slid back he fought to hold on, and sadly put the bike basically into WOT in 1st gear and it jumped all the crap.

I've done it myself. Don't ask but I somehow managed to ramp my dirt-bike/motorcycle into the side of a barn after screwing up a jump. I went up the ramp wrong started to slide off, and proceeded to do a wheelie upon hitting the powerband (which I only half way controlled) into the side of the barn. My original path was parallel to the barn.

I still have a scar from it actually. I think it's kinda funny, but not extremely, there are inherent dangers in each sport, in this case it's even more so apparent. I'm sure this guy will sure as hell hold on next time his bike starts to pull a wheelie.

I know I recouped rather well after my barn incident, I later learned to train myself away from the gag-reflex kinda reaction that OH SHIT The bike is going to come over on me. I've ridden a few nearly vertical wheelies on it, skill and practice are all that's needed.

yeah i've ridden bikes with more power than your car, and that never has happened to me while launching a bike....

as for the video...it's a oldie but a classic

moral of the story dont try to do something you can't handle

wow.. what a way to ruin what was sposed ot be a humerous vid post by picking it apart and over analysing it..

yea, i do see what happened.. and what went wrong
has it happened to me, no
have i melted the back tire in bleach an tried to take off when its slick, no
the ass end of the bike tryin to pass the front end is a good sign of that
it was stil slick or it wouldnt of been sliding like that

and before i get the 'well have you even owned a bike..' kinda flame
yes, ive had more bikes than most ppl will ever have cars

What do you ride, Jay?

I raced the AMA circuit some from 88-94. I used to ride with Mike Jones when he was a nobody on a 125.

Then I rode some metrics / street bikes. Nothing real serious, just to get out and away from everything

I'd like to get back into MX for fun one of these days, but my next purchase is a Hog. Wife has given me the ok (almost worth giving the Tahoe up), so by the end of January, I should have a new 1200 Custom, or Heritage Softtail.

I used to race districts 11 and 12...I was sponsored, not full but I had 40% sponsorship from Honda of Troy (before they switched to Yamaha) I was at a practice session in Cincinatti though one race, and a guy crossed his line on a jump about 20 ft. high...hit me in the air, I woke up in an ambulance...dad made me quit after that. I'd like to start riding again though....I've forgot what real pain feels like.

I quit after breaking a leg... but last summer, I was riding around on my little cousin's bike, and man it felt so good. I really need to get another one.
