I dont know if anyone has seen the Subaru Legacy Wagon the woman uses for the rural parts around Vienna. Its white and its right hand drive. Now this is not the usual stupid conversion kit with the pedal brackets and chain drive steering wheel going to the passenger side, this is the real deal the dash is set up right hand drive, it was sitting at Walmart and then the Vienna post office. Can you buy these special or is this woman just into the JDM scene Yo!

As early as 1990 (beginning of the first gen Legacy,) special order RHD Legacy's were available for purchase in the US. They continued to sell RHD Legacy's up to around 1997 when they were discontinued. So all you're seeing is a special order "mail-delivery" Legacy.
There's usually a couple of them in the service department down at Louis Thomas as there are quite a few rooming around the area.

Postmen that deliver in Subes have been using authentic RHDs for several years, that I know of. At least in Marietta/Fleming.

Unless it says “WRX” or “STi” on it from factory, pretty much all Subarus are “keep it forever” cars. The resale values of Subarus are horrible; how many times have you heard someone (aside from me) say “Hey, I really want an OBS or L-wagon”? I had my 95 Impreza for sale for almost a year at well below book in good condition and I didn’t have a single person come look at it. The primary reason so many Subaru owners are repeat owners is because it’s easier to trade the car in at the Subaru dealer then sit on it for the rest of eternity.
I actually think you might have less trouble selling a RHD Legacy then a regular one, especially if it had low miles. To rural mail delivery people, the RHD Legacys are very desirable as they are one of the few legal RHD cars available. Most of the postal people that I’ve talked to that drive them have had several and usually run them well over 200,000 miles.
On the bright side, it would be very easy to convert a RHD Legacy with a JDM turbo engine as the wiring is all on the correct side…likely all you’d need to do is the wiring, then stuff the engine and cross member in.
