How can I change my BIOS settings. When the computer boots up Ive hit f12 and f8 and f2 none send me to the bios menu any suggestions?

Start computer and hit the delete key a whole bunch of times...just keep tapping the thing till your new bios type screen appears. You got to start tapping right after you hit the power button.

If its not the delete key..try another key..but you got to keep tapping it till the screen appears.

Usually for the bios config its del.....

The F* keys are for other options, the most popular being good ol safe mode..... 8)

I trying to see if I can change anything because it says my bios is corrupt? This is on my laptop.

Dave, try resetting your BIOS. You might have to look the procedure for a laptop up in your manual / online, but on a PC there is a small discreet jumper that you switch while the PC is turned off, then move the jumper back and boot up.

Could also be an indicator that the battery (for the BIOS) is going bad/dead. How long have you had it?

About 3 years.

I tried once to get the thing apart had all the screws out even the hidden ones but the thing is also snapped together and doesnt come apart easily.
