Yep. Sure was. I am the one who bought it. Started from scratch on the hydraulics and turned it into a show setup. Redid all of that and overhauled a bit of the engine and sold it on ebay for a lot more than what I paid. Actually a good investment I made. Plus I had a lot of fun in it.
The truck, that was mine too. Was just gettin' ready to put it on bags but I sold it for my RSX.
buyin stuf, messin with it, then sellin it on ebay.. sounds like me lo
it doesnt matter what you have or how absolutely worthless it may be, someone on ebay just cant live with out it..

I ain't tryin' to please your idea of style. I build what I like and that's all that matters. Plus, for being as young as I was, I think those are some pretty bad ass cars to have built.
times change, styles change, cars change, ppl change.. allways build your car to make yourself happy. no two ppl are gona fall in love with the same car.. i can have a 93' Cobra roll by me an think holy shit.. while the next guy thinks eh, its just a mustang. it's all about what youre into an what sparks your interest

And thank you joe. Didn't like the Lexani Marqi's though, huh? Ha ha ha. Ahhhh I think they're sexy! I wanted to run some low pro pirelli's on them but for around here I was always nervous about it. Then layin' frame tuckin' those up in the wheelwells...I will ALWAYS love the sport truck scene.

I wasn't raggin on your cars any...I respect all people who build cars..it was just a joke..I guess you have to know me...prolly a little too much of an inside joke for movFast i guess...sorry

I really beg to differ with you there.. I will agree on his fabricating skills he is slick there, but that's where it ends.

I think he's a good painter too. I've seen some nice jobs come out of his garage and for what he has to work with, it's nice. Painting is HARD. Sure, most of his patterns are the same and just masked straight lines with tape, but he does a good ghost paint.
NOw on the other end, the fabrication. I know that the cadillac needed a lot of welds redone and like I said, I completely swapped out the hydraulics if that gives you any clue. (Mostly my preference, but they needed work too)
All in all, I respect him and his ideas.

eh.. im not gona sit here an pick apart why im not a fan of his painting, as far as you having to re-do some welds ect. i really cant say much good nor bad but that, but i do know we used to beat the hell out of Ben Casto's 63' drotop imapala w/switches an it.. well.. yea, it broke all the friggin time nevermind lol.
By fabrication i meant some things hes built from scratch.. he has built some nice 4wheeler frames, but theyre exact copies of the lonestar frame.. so really, with all needed tools required ot bend the tubing and the model sittin next to it to build it to exact specs, me, you, or Adam, i have faith in that could do it.. guess i didnt make a point there either
Small town, an you allways hear hype about how badass this person or that person is at whatever.. im not sayin this in a cocky manner, just cause i dont think something is a+ doesnt meen i think i can do better.. im just sayin when you hear hype about how good this person is at whatever then see it an youre like gee, what a waste of my time lookin at this.. dont talk bout how good the work is.
As i have said before, i think Brian Cramlet is a douchebag and a half.. but i will give him credit, he built a body dropped, bagged, lt1, nos, S10 which was featured in mini-truckin.. mini truckin has been around flr a long long time, and they stated in their article that his truck had the cleanest V8 install in a mini they had ever seen

I think you lost me man. I know Ben. Atleast I've met him a few times and I LOVE his Impala. AS far as breakin shit, that's just hydraulics. Shit happens. But still, nice car. (Could use some knock off's instead of bolt on's, but that's my opinion)
I'm sure jeff is a good fabricator. I have no idea other than what I've seen, which is just strictly cars. I wasn't saying he's a bad welder. He works as a welder, doesn't he? I'm just saying I had to redo some welds. But on the rest of the post...You lost me really.

one of the little hocking folk.. he has a lil group of followers who think he's like god of everything when in actuality he does above mediocre work
he took a 68' i believe? firebird droptop which had potential to be really cool.. an painted it purple, bagged it, an pretty much ruined it in my opinion.. but it isnt my car, thank g0d it isnt my car.. but he must like it an think its cool so thats what matters

I don't know who the guy with the s10 is. ANd yes, I think I understand what you were trying to get across now. Now see, I agree with a lot of what you are saying. (And yes, people do seem to think he is a god of somesort, which gets on my nerves) But that's a whole other story.

Ha ha ha ha. I don't know. To each their own. Everytime I have ever talked to him, he's been cool with me. I just never took the time to step away from my car and go break the crowd of 15 year olds surrounding him to talk to him in a deep conversation.
lol.. you meen shallow
he's about as deep as the bottle of jager sitton on my comp desk.. which is empty.. his truck is badass tho i will say that
have you seen his Z28 that was totalled 'rolled' an they put a new roof on an made some gay tribal flame sort of paintjob?

Ha ha ha. Excellent. Some people just need to leave it to the pro's on certain jobs. It's a hard thing to accept though. I have difficulties doing that on things I can't do. Ha ha ha. I want to be a jack of all trades. I was going to open my own custom shop a year ago then I decided I want to DESIGN cars versus just building them. I have a feeling I may expand some more before I finish all of my schooling.
i hear ya.. im more of a building/restoring tho.. as of about 2yrs ago my dad started restoring muscle cars, an since its what i was allways into growing up of course i took part in it..

LOL...you guys dont like grego...cant say i have really hung out with the guy all that much..i work with him alot though ( i am a pipefitter he is an insulator) so we bump inot one another alot on big jobs...his truck does kick ass...i love the locomotive horn he put on it...many mornings i woudl be leaving from night shift and pass him commign in on days and he would about scare me off the road with that damn thing
i guess you guys are onto something with vencil..he does kinda have his own little following...i respect the guy for his abilities and overall vision...his paint jobs arent really my style, but they do stand out...the cars that i have seen painted a solid color are good, on par with the big shops at any rate...speaking of paint jobs, where would you guys recommend a good paint job in the area that wont break the bank?

The truck is awesome because it looks good and I actually see it driving down the road. The blazer S10 is a trailer queen and if thats your thing oh well. And Castos Impala I loved it when the batteries came loose and shorted out blowing a hole through the trunk. The van was cool too but the paint made me vomit it was better Barney purple but thats not saying much.

I can paint some small stuff for you. Got a pretty nice gravity fed gun, but my father hates when I paint anything big in the shop because the fumes take over the offices. But other than that, Ullman's is great. I know the owner and have for numerous years. His name is Mike Divito and I have never seen anything come out of that shop that looked bad.
