Ok I got my bios thing taken care or I think I have but also have other problems now.

first is when using windows every once in a while it will flash to some blue screen with writing on it and reboot.

second after doing a repair to windows it has made its own administraor and guest users with a password i have never made. Anyway around this so I can delete the password and turn off the guest user?

Could be a memory Dump.....the first issue....or a virus...but I doubt that.....

2nd.....there are utilities on the net....go to good and do a quick search for windows xp password hack...

Run it and it will allow you to change the passowrds/etc....that will allow you to remove the accounts in windows..

Hope that helps..

Good luck..... 8)

Look for another program that checks your memory....maybe you have a bad section.... 8)

my friend told me it maybe a driver or hardware issue,

he said u can check the event viewer to see whats causing the problem
first u go to start> control panel> performance and maintenance> Admin tools> event viewer, or start> control panel> Admin tools> event viewer

check them all when u look

Hope This Will Help You

or easier...would be to click run and type mmc
then add the event viewer snap in.... 8)

Disconnect all the "stuff" from your compuer. Printers, USB cables....just keep you mouse/keyboard and monitor attached.
Reboot.
If you can get to desktop w/o crash then you know you have a hardware conflict.

If not, then it could be a bad sector in HD (like mentioned above) or a vid card driver prob.

Keep tryin!

See I don't think so.....if you ran a hard disk utility, it would detect any bad sectors and mark them as damaged....thus allowing you to continue on with the install. Although sometimes if one section goes, so goes the drive....

I have seen laptop memory on many occaisons fail...don't ask me why...thats why I think it may have soemthing to do with that...

I would be better able to diagnos the problem if I saw it in person, maybe I'm on a different page?? 8)

Nah I dont think its the hd if I try to do a repair to windows it will reset on me while reading off the CD. I have setup my boot sequence as so the HD is last and sometimes it will reset before it gets to the HD or when booting from a disk. If anyone wants to look at it I would be appreciative. I was going to try to do a complete new windows install by formatting the HD but I dont have a complete XP disc I just have what came with the computer which I dont think is a complete install right?

Im saying its your hard drive too. Mine was doing the exact same thing, I kept reinstalling and it would just do the same thing. So i went out and got myself a 120gb 7200RPM drive 8) Ive never had a problem since, and its been a month now :D
