I was out a couple of weeks ago with a few friends...We stopped @ his g/f's place...she was having a party so we hung out for a few....
People were playing cards, drinking, playing X-box, eating, chatting online...etc....normal party....
Several people were there....handful of girls and guys.....
I remember I was messing around on the computer, and this girl walked over to me and started talking to me.
She was cute, nice personality.....We had a short conversation and what not.
We left the party shortly thereafter, which brings us to today....
I come to find out that she was in a head on collision and was killed a few days ago. She was only 20 something I believe.
Weirdest feeling is that I just talked to her...seemed like a bright person....outgoing, fun....sad to see that she is no longer with us.
I never knew her, other than that one night....almost in a passing of such....just odd how things make you think of your life and the lives of others and how fragile they really are....
My thoughts & prayers go out to her family and friends.....

I can't even remember how many people I knew that died this past year. Even my half-brother died. It kills me every time, though.

Is it really an odd choice of words? If I sit here and think about it, that's about the best I can do. There are too many factors involved. The life that had been built is now completely gone and all of the years were wasted, the parents, friends, and loved ones who now face mourning, the (usually) endless ways that the death could've been avoided, the reason we're here and why our society is sturctured in a way that makes our lives so pointless, the people that saw the death occur and how they interpret it...I could go on forever about what all I think about, but I will just say it kills me. I would love to say that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, but at this point in time, I don't feel any stronger than I was when I was 4, so it must be killing me. Truthfully, it feels like each event pushes me closer and closer to some invisible edge. I can't see this edge, but I know it's coming. I have no idea what happens after you fall off of it, but I doubt it's good. I just hope someone is there to catch me.

 Not sure what to make of that???
If I die right now, the past 27 years of my life were NOT wasted. I have savored every minute of them. When I'm gone I hope people don't mourn too long.... I've lived a very good life! ....but thats just me.....

its hard to lose friends...ive lost two in the iraqi war...two members of my old platoon..one of them was like a brother to me...i hadnt seen the guy for over a year, but we had always talked about the big party we were going to have when he got out...and how i was going to drive to nevada and live it up for a week...got caught in an RPG attack from what i have heard, its hard to actually accept that hes gone.
