Yep!

I used to be really into the IDPA (defence pistol type shooting) as well as .22 taget, long-range high powered rifle, and shotgun stuff. However, I've kinda put that on that backburner as time can be difficult to manage with 2 little kids and wifey. AutoX stuff took over :)

If you want to go to the range sometime I'd be up to going. ...be fun if we could get some other movfasters.

Agreed, the IDPA "pros" are incredibly good. I'm nowhere near them as I simply just do not practice enough. I use to do 200-300 rounds a week for awhile but then other "hobbies" starting popping up and get side tracked.

I took my CCW class last May (2nd class they taught) thru Fort Harmar. Lots of fun, got to shoot aot and taught by the good guys. You'll like it.

I'd like to see that dragnov. (real? Chinese? Romanian? Rusky?) I've thought about getting a Saiga for coyote hunting for some time, but I'm still using my Remington 1187T (12ga.) which has done fine. I'll post up some pics of my SKS and .22 target rifle that I will be selling soon.

Have a good class!

my drag is not the real deal..its a romanian ssg-97...but its as real as it needs to be...not quite the accuracy of a real dragunov, but im getting 1.5 MOA which is quite good from a soviet patterned rifle...i will take a pic of it this evening and post it up so check this thread later this evening

if my damn car would stop sucking all my play money up im probably going to buy a chinease MDN..or spend a little more and get a true soviet Tiger...a true drag is in the 2-2500 area

I don't know a darn thing about guns but is that a tommy gun?!?!?!

LOL, no...thats an ak-47 that i set up in light machine gun configuration..short strap, holographic reticle and 100 round drum mag...its changed alot since that pic..i converted it back to standard AK with a compensator and vented upper handguard...the drum is now on my underfolder krinkov....100 rounds of High powered rifle mahem in a gun thats only 1 foot long

Modyfing guns was my passion long before i could even drive....i dont do as much with them anymore, but when i get the bug i buy something new and modify it to my twisted ideas of what the perfect assault weapon would be

that GE minigun is the ultimate!!!..buying one istn really the problem, its feeding the damn thing...the larger one could throw 30,000 rounds away in a few minutes.....thats about 2500 dollars worth of cheap bullets spent in a few minutes....but what fun those few minutes would be

this is a new designed weapon that i look to become a very big deal in anti missle defense and perhaps automated peremiter defense

Nice! That .50 looks like a Barrett. Or what is it?
If and when you get the .50, let me know, let's go shoot, I'll pay for ammo!

Yea, I saw that blown head pic BUT it was probably not from a .50. Rarely is a .50 used for actual headshots...it more of a vehicle stopper, and blowing up questionable munitions in the field.
.50 are very long distance shooters. Not sub 1inch MOA hitters that are needed in "vital area" human targets.

a .308, .300mag or .338 are ideal for sniping.

While the caliber is important so is the construction/design of the actual bullet which in itself is a science. There are numerous designs made for certain targets. (hard or soft targets ) There are soo many variations of hollowpoints. Adam, I'm sure the shooters/policemen that you are working with can probably give lectures on that stuff..its rather comprehensive.

P.S. IMHO, that blown head pic is probably not suitable for this forum. Its very graphic.

Thats why I put "sniped" in quotations...b/c normally that type of gun isn't used for that situation....

As for the pic...I was going to post a link...with a Severe warning..and those that chose to view it would be held on there on recognizance... 8)

Here are a few reasons why I prefer guns over women:

#10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.

#9. You can keep one handgun at home and have another for when you're on the road.

#8. If you admire a friend's handgun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times.

#7. Your primary handgun doesn't mind if you keep another handgun for a backup.

#6. Your handgun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.

#5. A handgun doesn't take up a lot of closet space.

#4. Handguns function normally every day of the month.

#3. A handgun doesn't ask , "Do these new grips make me look fat?"

#2. A handgun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it.

And the number one reason a handgun is favored over a woman

#1. YOU CAN BUY A SILENCER FOR A HANDGUN.

funny stuff..lol

that .50 is called the black arrow, its built by a company named mitchells mausers...its a little better designed then barrets bolt actions, but is not as good as his semi auto's....i think this is the best looking 50 cal bolt action on the market

http://www.mitchellsales.com/rifles/bla ... /index.htm (http://www.mitchellsales.com/rifles/blackarrow/index.htm)

incase you guys have never seen a .50 round up close..here is a comparison chart

the first round is what is used in the ak-47..the second is what was used in the m-1 and m-14...the third is the .50 cal browning, that is what all the .50 cal rifles use

http://www.mitchellsales.com/rifles/bla ... arison.jpg (http://www.mitchellsales.com/rifles/blackarrow/comparison.jpg)

I remember a story from back in highschool of a certain indicidual who got one of barrets .50's back when they first came out and would drive up to the point of view and sink the channel markers that floated out in the river near blenerhassit island...LOL
