Really sharp bike. Looks like they heavily raided the 1125 parts pile but made much better looking bodywork for it. Hopefully, for whatever "premium" price they are asking for it, they've resolved some of the gremlins that have haunted the 1125s.

Let's hope they fail again and a new one can be picked up for change!

Who the hell would of bought one of the 1125s?

Does the braking design they use on the Buells work better than traditional systems?

I wouldn't say they works any better then the brakes available on other "super sport" bike but it does work pretty well. I almost tossed myself over the handlebars the first time I hit the brakes hard. If I had the nerve I imagine stoppies would take no effort.

The bike is pretty nice...it handles like no bike I've ever ridden - super light and toss able...more so then I'll ever make use of. The lean angle is pretty severe but its easily ridden for and hour or so. Acceleration is slingshot fast and braking is sharp...mostly done by the front as the rear is vague and the rear gets light and slides easy.

Overall the bike is well assembled but there are some design flaws that are fairly common such as the wheel bearing rusting, the exhaust discoloring the rear wheel and clutch slave wearing out prematurely (new one at 3200 miles  .)

The 1190 looks like it sports a similar frame with some changes like an adjustable rear swing arm (for the chain drive) versus the auto adjusting belt drive on the 1125R. I'm interested to see what the price on the 1190 turns out to be because honestly, as much as I like my 1125, I don't see a big block version of it being worth Bimota or even high end Ducati prices...if they do that everything on it better be American built short of the Rotax...which would be nice if it was American built too.
