Well since we messed with car the exhaust has leaked and i see no end in sight. so monday morning finally, i know i have been saying it for a while, i will be placing and order for longtube headers. now my question is what to go with true duals with bullet mufflers, or off road y-pipe through cutout.
opinions, comments, question please feel free!

I would Go with thru duel because i think that is where the performance is, Y piped is just for looks altho it does deaden the sound if you would happen to have headers. but i tihnk truez would be the way to go on ur car. :D

Where's your leak?
long tubes + ORY + whatever muffler you like, you could keep your flowmasters and run a cut out right on the I pipe. There'd be some minor fitment issues and it'd be real tight under there, but you could do it. You'd have NO restriction...
Duals only if you want them that badly, and to run w/o any restriction would mean to weld dual cut outs before the mufflers that you just bought but won't need. You could run a dump but we're takling resonance and a lot of rattling etc. To run duals all the way back costs some $$$ and real custom fab.

Here's some more info if you still haven't decided...

We're talking drag car-lopey cam-scare everyone around you-loud too. 8)
I think it'd be bad ass. But I could not take the noise for daily driving...alot of people can't. Then again you'd love it haha
There's two ways to run duals... (def run an X pipe though if you do)
You can dump it all before it reaches your back (best hp/$),

That's pretty nice, talking maybe $350 + cost of headers-$400?
or you can run it to the back with some custom fab welds and bullet mufflers. That should cost you around $1,000+ including LTs. A shop that doesn't hasn't done duals before will really hurt...$$$
Shops around here aren't good for too much...getting someone to put the LTs on would be the hard part. Could always put them on yourself, then drive to the shop (that'd be cool) and get them to custom fab the rest. Some charge $40 an hour (6-12 hours), some are $500 flat rate. Not to mention the welds (100-150) and the cost of all your stuff (LTs, X PIPE, mufflers?)
Lubeck tire is a good 'friendly' shop that would do it all for ya w/o worrying about the 10 grand fine if they got caught
LT's and ORY are a basic bolt on job with all your friends helping. And with your cut out already on there...you're set dude. Get some used ones off the forums for less than $600 shipped and you're golden. I got my NEW IN BOX pacesetters for $525 shipped to my door with ORY. No restriction, no nothin.
The way I see it, it's cheaper simpler to do it one way and more expensive (but cooler) and time consuming to do it the other. Like I said, the gains for duals w/ dump vs ORY+cut out won't be too different. I have sound clips of both, they're both plenty loud.
