I am in need of a good paint job...matched as close as possible....EBP.

The front clip (urethane) is all dinged up and whoever painted it last did a reall crappy job b/c the clear coat pealed off with some of the paint...

So...if anyone could post some info on where I can take it locally, that does a good job for a reasonable price...I would be interested.

Thanks all... 8)

Go down that road behind movie gallery towards colegate. Then right before colegate, it's on the left. There's a furniture store right on the corner, but it's the buliding RIGHT before the furniture place. It doesn't look like much, but trust me, they do good work.

Adam, if you need another option, you can call my brother in law who is a paint and body specialist.
He's really good.

Does your brother go as far doing body work to cut about a 2 inch section out of a rear quarter panel and weld new metal in it's place to stop rust? i have been looking for some one to do that because my hatch has a very tiny spot of rust on, other then that it is rust free.

Yes...he is currently renovating an old Ford truck, Studebaker, finsihed an old Model-T looking car as well as other customer cars.

He'll post on here little later. I just got on his case for being a stranger on movfast:)

We could cut it out, cut some sheet metal, weld it back in place and grind it down, ready for paint....

That was the plan on Justins crx if he keeps it.... 8)

I called him. Seems like a nice guy. He said it would take only a couple of days.

Ballpark would be around $200 bucks...

Well I think I am gonna prep it, and have him spray it, b/c I don't have a compressor or paint gun yet...

Use 320 grit and featheredge all of the chips and flakes off of it, and then if you are going to do it use k36 as a primer surfacer and then sand it smooth with 400-600 wet. It makes a nice smooth finish. And yes i can do all metal work and shapeing. My buddy just got an english wheel and a planishing hammer so there isnt much we cant do with metal now.
