yea yea.. no street racing bla bla
this isnt promoting it tho
did anyone else hear about the kid in the trans-am
racing what i heard was a mustang gt in vienna
an hit the curb, wheel broke off an went sailing twards western auto
then the t/a caught fire an burnt to the ground
i caught wind of this today at work.. guy i talked to said it looked like the kid was goin like 100mph when he bit it.. but then again we all know that meens he was prob doin like 45 lol
why would anyone think vienna would be a good place to drag race..

he's on foot but he's ok
no one was hurt.. which is good

my friend told me about a trans am smaking into the bushes outfront of sams. Said it looked like the back half of the car snapped off lol.

A firefighter I worked with was called out b/c of the fire....
He told me exactly what you said....
They were "streetracing"...lol...I asked him how he knew, and he said witnesses saw....
I have a feeling if this continues, they are going to crack down BIGTIME..... 8)

I don't mind discussing an accident. I just don't want people discussing "a race they had last night." I want this site to promote legal racing. We seem to be doing OK at it. We have a regular crowd that goes to the autocrosses and I'd like to see us regularly attending the drag strip. I hope to make it out to see Adam run his car at Kanawha this summer(or spring, adam?).
... anywho... this topic just proves a point.

Talked to my GPA today, he was there when the whole thing happened.. said the 2 cars passed him like he was sittin still.
Dad talked to one of the Vienna cops who is a friend of ours last nite an he said the kid was goin somewhere around 100mph estimated an 'just lost it' so i dono..

I heard 100+ also....weird thing is, there wasn't any skid marks...?
So he didn't hit the brakes, just lost the rear end, hit the curb, lost his wheel....... 8)

can't believe I didn't see this thread earlier
i was there about 5 minutes after it happened right around when the firefighters started showing up...the car went over the curb through the bushes, spun around, went over another high curb embankment and slammed into some more bushes/trees...and his tire...wow...that was insane.
his name was Jesse and his brother Joe was with him...the story we were told when we were there is that Jesse was going from a 40 roll, the other car that was 'participating' bailed and never looked back
Jesse loses it, over the curb spin around smack some trees...car's on fire, somehow Joe is coherent enough to pull Jesse out of the car...firefighters/police get there...foam the TA down to put out the fire...load Jesse into the bus and pull the car onto a flat bed
the trail of sh*t this accident left was wild...they had a bulldozer there to clean up all the misc. parts that were left behind...gas was everywhere...nasty
anyway, here's the pictures...I tried to do this quickly (while walking) so sorry for the pictures being blurry...let this be a lesson to everyone...don't be a dumb@$$...two kids got VERY lucky

Wow, they are cracking down, cops were out in force last night. They took down a geo convertible :roll: cop in his big ol durango comes barriling down grand central, I pull out on the turn (main entrance to the mall, across from Home depot) because i had the green light, state cop weaves around me. Didnt even have his siren on, just his lights :roll:

Thats just great, I'm glad no one was hurt bad, but you now the damn cops will be watching extra close know. Racing or not being stupid like this just hurts other car guys and makes US a target for law enforcement!

yup.. i had the Cobra out last nite, an as loud as it is it draws a bunch of attention.. especially from the cops. they seemed to be out in full force last nite
