Hey, New to the forum, just wondering if there were any others on here who had escorts. Other than that, just saying hi to everyone, hope the forum holds up to all the good things I've heard.

The best ones are like the one you have with the mazda motor. If you can find a Turbo Mercury Capri (the little convertable) the turbo manifold and other key parts will bolt up. Also it shares lots of parts with the same year Protege.

Thanks for the welcome, and the applause at the car, unfotunately turboing is a little ways off, I've got boost, or one of two higher output motors to choose from, lucky brits, canadians, and japanese, all got turboed escorts, us in the states, nope, "sigh" oh well.

The cosworths Escorts have nothing in common with the US versions. :(

yes, this I know. It really is a sad thing that even the American car companies won't seel their best cars here. The Opel Speedster has been out for years now and hasn't even been considered for sale here. Now Vauxhaul has a turbo version and it's not for sale here either. The only thing I can think of that we got which surprises me are the Syclone and Typhoon. Fast, AWD, and Turbo'd. Way ahead of the times with that setup...if only they had put it in a car lol. Sorry for the off-topic remarks, but I felt they were relevant.

true...but those are RWD muscle cars that came with turbos. We do have a lot of cars that we can be proud of, but I'd say we'd have a lot more if we created demand instead of waiting until similar products have been out for 8 years, then releasing something 4 years behind its time.

We have had fast domestics, just over the years, what is fast has changed, top speed is just a number for the record books, while back in the day, top speed was what was important, drag races were held on a long course, not in a 1/4 mile.
Oh well, gimme carbs and the smell of burning fuel, guess I'm still old fashioned.
