Comments: I think Bill and Jerry could both have pushed harder in a few spots, but they are both amazing cars. If Bill doesn't paint that wing (or take it off), I swear I'll do it myself lol. Is there a reason for the Silver? Otherwise, that is an amazing rotary and he doesn't seem to have any of the reliability issues associated with older rotaries. I could watch him lap all day lol. And for Jerry, that is one finely-tuned Mustang Cobra. I always consider them straight line beasts but he is always there to blow my mind in the corners, too. Kurt, not bad at all, especially for your first time. I think you said you missed Robbie's times by 6 seconds...that's nothing to be ashamed of! And it always amazes me how things progress. As you guys learn these courses better, track records start dropping like flies. The only letdown: I thought external vid meant mounted on the door or something lol. The video of Sean is pretty funny...is that you making the "Can't count that high, what?" comment? Is that a WV joke lol? In the STi vid with the messed up sound, it sounds a bit like our mic sounds when it's running low on battery. I know your's is 12V powered so I dunno how to explain it...bad connection maybe? Man, that one innocent pylon you took out before the fast stretch was classic. I dunno why, maybe the angle, but it's quite funny. Thanks again for the videos.

Yea, plop, down goes my pylon. I didn't care that it showed on the video. Kinda funny I thought too. Look weird. Can't show just perfect runs now can we?
Sound- yea, I think I have/had a bad connection. I really need to check those things between runs...just so busy.
It was the announcer that was teasing Sean bout his pylon count. Good stuff.
Jerry's is still figuring out the new settings on his Stang. Bill's RX-7 has amazing handling and braking...accleration is pretty good but not quite the same as the Z06's (or Sti's:0)

Glad you liked the vids.

I would love to hear the mod list on those cars. And yeah, I love Z06's. Thank you GM for finally using some of your resources. No harm done with the pylon, I thought it actually made the video better.

Uh... NO... try 0.114 seconds. He impressed me. He was pushing it much harder. I had a much better 4th run, but clipped the same pylon twice. Oh well... I learned a thing or two and that's what counts.

Uh...SORRY... I though that was what he said in another post pertaining to this same event. Of course Robbie and Davis did well, at least 6 seconds faster then my fastest time.
Did I misread that sentence or something?

I think Kurt was saying that me and Robbie were 6 seconds faster...something like that.

That was what I thought but Robbie (seemingly) got mad and corrected me/Kurt/you/whoever. I dunno. I was just repeating what Kurt said, nothing bad meant by it.

Yeah, I said that Robbie and Davis did about 6 seconds faster then I did, but as I've said before, I would hope an extra 100+ hp and 150+ ftlb would be good for something.

I figure the overall gain in terms of times between the old Z6 Civic HB I ran and the new B16 CRX was 3.2 seconds. This is based on Jeremy's Saturn, which I usually outran by a couple tenths of a second.

I got 24th while Robbie and Davis got 8th and nineth, respectively. This is out of 49 entrants.

As for my performance, I can't complain at all considering I had just finished assembling the car the previous weekend and had only put about 200 shakedown miles on it to make sure it wouldn't break down on the way down or back. The car needs some more suspension tuning but I'm pretty happy with the engine at the moment. I figure once I get used to the car I should be able to squeeze a couple seconds more out of it.

I beleive I made the "Can't count that high, what?" comment in Sean's vid. Sean is usually very clean but if I remember correctly he knocked about 7 cones out in that run. I think the reason the camera drifted up after that comment was Davis turning and giving me a "shutup!" look ;)
