Rick Wright was the name he put on the estimate sheet for the signs he ordered.

I dunno whats wrong with people these days, they think unpainted body kits are cool, but it makes their cars look even crappier from what they started with. Anyone know who owns those yellow/black/red (mainly yellow) last gen cavaliers rolling around?

Yeah, thats the one, thought he was hott $hit pullin up to me and my friends with that, revvin up his engine like his car is worth $hit. We were in his Triumph TR-6, so i dunno what he was thinkin  a POS cavalier vs. a prestine TR-6, wonder whos gonna win dip$hit lol  but i was really aggrivated when he did that, just venting :P
i dig old triumph's.. even tho they break alot

Rick's a good guy. He does great work, and he's good on prices. Most of the cars you see sitting down there are guys with not much else to do, other than "hang out."
And the "bumble bee cavvy's": somehow a guy with a current gen cavvy got talked into swapping front-ends with a mid 90's cavvy.

deleted bein as how since apparently im such a highly looked upon citizen of this here country my .02 was enough to piss someone off.
mainly i just didnt want any more pm's..
imo it doesnt matter who thinks what of a shop
i can bitch about Jegs sending me the wrong lowering springs not once but twice.. doesnt meen they sell crap, just meens someone was asleep at the wheel one day.. lol
however no matter what 1 persons thoughts are it doesnt change the overall view of a place. no 2 ppl will ever see the same thing for what it is.

good ol chris posey is working there painting cars, even though he is my friend, i wouldn't suggest letting him spray your car, he taught him self and you can't tell him anything, just one of those kind of people. other than that he is a good guy

Hea all. I was just checking some post and found this one interesting. I too have see that yellow cavalier. Some people will like it and some will not. That car is an expression for him/her. Just like all of our rides that we have, some will like, and some will not. We should help and build each other up on all of our rides. I am sure that some of us will always invite constructive critisim, and thats good. The rides that I have seen posted here are some of the best cars around, with many more in various stages to come :) . Thank God we have the hard work and energy of those that have taken the time to put up this web site and keep it updated. Hats off 2 ya. Just a small comment from my little corner.

His name, is Justin Brookover. The mainly yellow cavilier, he's got red hair ahd he's ab 18-19. He's not a bad guy, once you get to know him. The car, so far that I know of, only has an intake, an exhaust. My stock altima ran with it :-X. but anyway. yea,
And Chris Posey.... ha ha yea, i wouldnt let him spray my car yet. I thought about it and the more i saw of his work the less I liked it. They all look good from far away, but the detail sucks. Maybe in a yr or so when he gets some experience in a real paint booth i'd let him. Seeing as how I am also a self taught painter... But its a little different doing whole cars from smaller things... enough of my rant...

I'm confused Jay, did your post get deleted because you posted a possible opinion that didn't reflect someone else's?
It doesn't matter how well a shop does work, if it's around here in this area, they won't survive. How many times does it take for an idiot to open a shop thinking he knows what he's doing around here and then close down 6 months later. There isn't nearly enough demand around here to keep open a shop. And there aren't nearly enough hard working kids to pay for good work. Good work does not come cheap. You get what you pay for. And if you're gonna have someone working for you without experience, I wouldn't suggest going there anyway. I wouldn't let someone work for me without experience. What mistakes they make, and YES they will no matter what, will fall upon YOU and your reputation and in a small area you can't afford a bad one. There's more to "experience" than just reading on the internet all day. There's my .02

Posey does not work at the shop... He may do work at the shop, but he doesn't work for Rick.

youre right, if everything was done in a shop around here, you wouldnt see cars with primered body kits/different colors. People around here like doing it themselves, just because they probably cant afford it, and they want to learn something at the same time.

i'm in no way saying it is bad to be self taught, its just he won't listen when you tell him stuff. for instance when i told him not to lay the clear on in 2 heavy coats , i know you can make it flow out better that way but you are asking for solvent pop and runs, if you aren't going to cut and buff it, i think its better to lay a couple coats of clear. cut it with 1000 grit, then over reduce the clear for a flow coat......
plus if you do go and cut n buff it, it goes much easier.

I was going to have him paint the mgb, but he wanted to lay like 5 coats of clear on it, I was like, ummm no

5 coats is fine. but i would wet sand it every 3-4, have you any idea how many coats it takes to bury 1/64th in. flake

And when they do, it's $$$. I had a Triumph Spitfire Mk4 convertable, and the cheapest thing I could find for it was around $250..... that that was a frickin' carb rebuild kit (what are they normally, like $30?).
