Are you looking for Wireless service @ your home....from a provider...
example.....Wirefire's Megafire.....
or having wireless service in your home....
example...wireless router for a laptop or something...

Well I recently got some cable internet at the house, so I just got ahold of a wireless router, hooked it up to my cable modem. And now I can be online with my powerbook anywhere in/around the house. A router will probably run you around $50.

doesnt that wireless service have an insane ammount of lag ( not sure of the correct word..latency...ping) i know a guy who had the satelite internet and you couldnt use it for anything but downloads..no online games or anything due to the time it took the signal to get back and forth from the satelite

They severly limit there upload speed, that kills online gaming.
They have gotten better, but still not the best. Charter hands down has one of the most stable network around, as much as I hate to say it....
Wireless just isn't that good here locally yet..... 8)
downloads were awesome when i had wireless, uploads sucked
that and the fact it only worked like 5 days a month

I here you there that really sucks. I am the same way, no land line, don't want one, and no broadband available. I won't do dial up either. That's just a waste of time. If it isn't broadband, it's not internet.
