interesting..

i had a guy that builds engines tell me one time, the way he broke in an engine was to start it up.. let it warm up.. then run it wide open for like 20 minutes.. i think his theory was.. what ever was going to happen to the motor was going to happen in that 20 minutes instead of 5000 miles later.
at any rate, he claimed to never have had problems that way.. and from what i understand he built good motors..

After I rebuilt my hondas motor i just drove it regular not really taking it easy and shifting at nothing above 3k but not redline monster shifts either just normal driving chnaged the oil every 300 miles for for about the first 100 miles or so. Then drove it however I wanted and have not had any problems.

Justins dad used to build race engines for chevy I believe. He said after they built it they would drive it like they stole it, and he said the same thing, if it was going to break, it would then, if not....all was good... 8)
