Yep, it's illegal. It's street racing. It's also in Stockholm, so I figured I could talk about it. Anyone ever seen these videos? I don't have my computer or I could send it to you or find it on limewire for you. Roughly 20 minutes or so. This supra and, I believe, an escort (Different name overseas though) Are both around 450 whp and drive around at about 180-200 mph until they see cops, rev their engines at them and outrun the PISS out of them. Numerous times. It's actually really exciting.

it's a cosworth focus if i remember correctly...I've seen them all.

There are 4 at the moment, and if the guys from Zatzy racing live up to their reputations, there should be a 5th in the planning for this summer as we speak.
The one you are speaking of has the Supra and the Cosworth Escort RS.... probably the best one in my opinion... but I do like in the 4th one where they pull up to the Stockholm Police Academy and do burnouts while they're waiting for the cops to catch up with them.

2 was definitely the best one I've seen, mainly because it just felt more on edge. There are 5 now, btw. The new one I haven't seen, mainly because it says it has a Supra and a supercar, but it never says what kind of supercar. I don't think you can see it in the video, either, but I may be wrong. I was introduced to these by my old roommate in Lima, he is in the process of building a few cosworth escorts. he has at least 10 merkurs by now. I say by now, cause he had eight last time I saw him, and he buys one about every two weeks. Anyway, he has been getting parts shipped over from accross the pond to peice them together. That was one of the most impressive motors I have seen in a Ford. 2.2l turbo motor.
He had all of the videos on his computer, he would play them constantly. His obsession with the cosworths was rediculous.

I got the Home Theater PC working again last night. I'd love to have a "Getaway in Stockholm night" here at my house. If someone could burn them to CD I could play them back through the computer onto the big screen. Any interest?
BTW... I have never seen any of them. How long are they?

There's some that are more than 20 minutes. They're phenomenal! Ha ha ha. Something you seriously just have to see. It gets my adrenaline pumping just to watch it.

Tim gave me a copy of GIS2 I think. I'll try to find it. Its all awesome stuff. Cossies, supras's... yummy. Best on-car footage you'll ever see.
Cops in Sweden are really sparse. Hardly any around BUT if you DO get caught the fines are super heavy and usually a suspension on the spot.
I've been flagged over a couple times when I lived in Sweden. Even thou I spoke the language, I played the dumb American tourist thing and got out of it. Remind me at the next appetiser if you are interested some stories about driving in Sweden :wink:

Adam, let me know if you need help converting or transferring them to DVD. I'm doing a ton of video work this week and next and could fit it in between rendering times. higher the resolution the better.

I have Mischief 3000, and Mischief Invasion, as well as Drift Bible and a few other racing/drifting type videos/movies. I also have Grip 3.

Yeah I use Azureus, it's an app that uses teh bit torrent protocol but in a much more effective and user friendly manner. I never did get that silly Grouper thing to work, so I still use bit torrent and soulseek. I'm seeding & watching it right now. Wow the supra is crazy fast.....

i too use Azureus. good stuff. I'm trying to find GIS 1-5 total. I haven't been able to get the other GIs vids. Not enough ppl seeding the older vids.

the first one is in a 911..the second is a supra and an escort cosworth..the third one plays kinda like a short film with mr X driving his supra to a drop off point and getting into an NSX..video 4 is basically setup as a playing with the cops video and involves the same NSX as shown in 3 plus a c5 corvette..video 5 kinda sucks but it has a bad ass rx7...i didnt see any cop chases in it and there are very few other cars on the road...kinda has the feel of GIS 1.

As far as I know, the cops in GIS 1 were fake (I remember that something was set up). Also, the C5 Convertible in GIS 4 was driven by a girl :D
