About 6 years ago I used to tease a friend of mine. "You mean you race around pylons on a parking lot?" {extreme laughter} Well, about 3-4 years ago I went to watch one of these "parking lot races". I wasn't expecting much. I was basically blown away by the whole thing. Everyone was nice, it was well organized and look like a LOT of fun. I didn't run that day, and I was mad that I didn't. A month later I ***** it for myself and was hooked.

Instead of me telling everything about autocrosses, I'll just direct you to a site that got me started. http://www.tirerack.com/features/solo2/handbook.htm Another recommended website is the Southern WV Region website. http://www.swvrscca.org

I, as well as a few other members on movFast.com, venture to Charleston about once a month to do some ******. So, come *** it out with us. I'd be glad to show you the ropes.

Amen!!

If interested, Myself, Kurt and Robbie usually meet at a rest stop south of Mineral Wells on the way down to the track. We'll chat on radios on the way and makes it all go much faster.

It is definately any car nut should see and try out at least once.

I've become extremely interested in autocrossing since talking to some of you folks down at CC. Robbie said something like you guys go the third sunday of every month. What time do you guys usually meet up in Mineral Wells, and what frequency are you normally on. I think Adam and i would love to cruise down with you guys sometime. :D

I'm thinking 8:30AM. That right guys? We met at the rest area just S of Meneral Wells last month.

We can get on the same channel at the rest area. They also use the FRS radios at the autocross course. Corner Workers use them to talk to the timing trailer. So, you can listen-in if you have your own. :)

We'd love you have you. (at the autocross, I mean. get your head outta the gutter)

Channel 9 subchannel 2 is what we usually run.

8:15-8:30 is usually right. We usually run about the speed limit (made friend with a guy wearing a funny hat and a gun last year and don't want to repeat that.) So if you're interested in going, just let one of us know. I'm usually on AIM a lot so I can be found at the name in my profile.
