I would recommend Polk, or Infinity....Infinity being the better of the two. Sometime if you see me out, ask to hear my setup. I have some Infinity 6.5" coaxials.

I used to run a mb quart high end and kicker low end it sounded awesome. Now I run Jbl high end these sound very good its actually a component kit setup like a coaxial you can seperate it but i like to keep it behind the factory grill. A good amp always helps I run a Orion hcca 225.

I have a basic setup I guess. I would recommend something infinity. Seems one of the better buys Imo (price point).
If you are looking for some killer bass....some sort of higher end Alpine, Mtx, or Audiobahn would be your best buy, 2x10's or 1 single 12. Just don't forget, Hondas/Acuras lack one major thing.....TORQUE. Adding subs, amps, boxes means weight. Weight means SLOWNESS. Just bear that in mind.
If there is one general rule of thumb I have observed in this area is this:
If you can't be fast, be loud.... 8)

how about some "by nines" in the rear and some 6.5's in the front...sound 10 times better than what you were thinking.

I most definately recommend Boston Accoustic's Rally series componet sets. they can take up to 175watts RMS and they SCREAM. I had a set in the Saturn back when i had it. They will go in the honda as soon as i get a amp to push em.
Also recomend Polk/momo and infinity and Image Dynamics they are a bit cheaper than the bostons. Stay away from kenwood and pioneer and anything they sell at walmart and major retailers like that. Obrians in Marietta carries both boston and ID.

I'm not a real big fan of boston acoustics, I heard some and didn't like them so much. It prolly depends on the series you get. However I do like the ID stuff. Polk/momo is kind of expensive too for what you get...imho

Image dynamics is good, and as far as component sets go, Boston Pro series is far and away the best you can buy, ID's (image dynamics for anyone confused) is an excellent company that gets almost no press.

With component sets don't you have to fabricate kick panels and stuff to get the sound image right? Because I thought that in most component sets the speaker was round and then it came with a tweeter. And by making the kick panels it gives you better tune ability. And about what Adam said earlier about if you can’t be fast be loud I stand strongly beside that because I think I’m pretty loud :-).

I have a component set that can be seperated or kept like a coaxial speaker and i keep it together so it will fit behind the factory panels for a stock look and it sounds good also.

I would recommend Circuit City, however you are going to pay out the ass for labor and expecially parts...my .02 cents ( I used to install there) You'd be better off to take some time out and learn to do it yourself...and when I say learn, I mean not half ass stuff. I would feel priveledged to do it for you, or help/teach for that matter.
let me know/ future movFast.com project me thinks
