Getting my car tuned this friday !!

Taking the car down to Delk Preformance friday. I got about 200 miles on the new combo, I'm going to try to drive it another 100 this week. Hoping to put down around 460-475 on the wheels. That should be close to 600 on the crank, not bad for an all motor car, with driveabilty. I just get frustrated with these little bugs and problems, but you have them on every project.

Tuning as far as the computer goes. Doing the fuel and timing curve, it just has a basic program in a Diablo chip. Also doing big axles and eaton posi.

What is the engine manegment system called, or does the stock ecu have an eeprom for chips?

The results are in, it made 453.8 rwhp@6100rpm and 450.3 rwtq@4900rpm. Calculating drivetrain loss thats about 545 crank horsepower. I used a Diablo Revolution programmable chip. We keep the 3:73 rear gear. The tuner said I should gain another 15-20 hp after I get some miles on the new engine, that should make it 465-475 on the wheels.

400RWHP with a cam in a LS1 car and bolt on's is going to be pretty hard, maybe throw some afr heads and a LS6 intake, then maybe.

I got the car tuned at Delk Performance in lebannon Tenn. , they build the engine and the program for the chip.

i don't know people with the t-rex cam have put down 451 rwhp, i have an ls6 intake plus just about every bolt on possible.

yeah i know thunder racing has some great prices on camshaft kits, your choice of cam, dual valve springs, retainers and seals for 780 dollars, installed and tuned for 1100 was the quote that i got, not that bad of a price
