Welcome to the site.
Were you driving the red supra with black wheels Thursday? I passed one just like it on 7th street while it was raining.

Had to be me. My two are the only ones I know of next to a silver one and possibly a black one in Nitro area.

The 300ZX V8 swap, well that explains its self lol its a 350 sbc with a th350 auto trans.
The silver 300zx na, stock with an exhaust.
The Black Supra is BPU Auto just basic upgrades, ecu, exhaust, fuel cut, suspension...things like that.
The Black Cobra, gears, full exhaust, long tubes, eibach suspension etc.
The Red Supra 6-spd......ALOT, I'll just leave it at that lol.
It would be nice to meet the other Supra owner in town. I'll looking for another one to gut and go full race with. Or I'm just going to throw a 2jz in the purple ZX and go nuts with it. I moved here to get away from the hussle of the beaches. Plus WV is a pretty quite place. So it fits me.

Nice collection and welcome, and nice to see a couple nice Z's!!!
I always wanted yo find a reasonably priced n/a supra to dd but most people think they're all turbo and I can imagine all the goons trying to race at a light.
The 300, looks sweet. How's it run?

Which 300 are you speaking of? I honestly havent had ONE person try to race me. I think they are too busy trying to figure out what it is or grab their camera phone.

The purple one will most likely see a 2jz power plant come summer. I'm just not too happy with the SBC power. I have a fabricator in mind so hopefully it all works out. Gonna gut the car and make it a purpose built track car.
I think the sbc would be sweet, but not with a th350 trans. Destroke that bitch and throw a t56 behind it

I'd still like to put an LS in the 350, but that takes time and money, neither of which I have at the moment. I've seen a couple 2JZ 300zx swaps done, very clean and a nice powerplant for the car.
I'm not a foreign person, so the 2jz may be cool to some people but its just gay to me lol.

LSx V8 cant go wrong...
LSx V8 cant go wrong...
Considering what you can pick up a n/a 300 for, you could build an old school sbc and even efi it and stay within a decent budget. Though I have saw a few lsx's go pretty reasonable lately.
Since you already have the sbc in it, I'd destroke the 350 to a 302 and get it fully balanced. Pick up a vortech s/c kit and blow through. Done correctly you can spin that sucker past 10k safely. I'd get the right cam/intake to max far sooner than that, though.

Ehh, we'll see. The 2jz and LS1 have been the most powerful engines produced it seems. Their limits havent been hit yet so theres still plenty of room left in them. The positive about the 350 in it at the moment is how cheap all the parts are for it. Remember I am trying to keep everything under the stock hood. So just bolting any style intak, carb or head on this motor is not an option unless I want motor hanging all out of the hood.
Nitrous, A shit load of nitrous!

I would love to get "taught" by someone how to properly use nitrous. I havent NEVER delt with it and honestly am scared of it. Alot of things to keep up with manually on a nitrous system I.E. bottle pressure, bottle warmer, purge, line pressure etc etc. When all these things are monitored by by AEM V2 for my turbocharger system. I have around 8k in my turbo system and it will never run out without mechanical failure being involved. Where as a good nitrous system runs around 1000 bucks plus any supporting mods to run a big shot. I got "KILL"' and "REAPER" mode buttons on my Red Supra. Easy it seems lol. This zx though would be a good learner on nitrous. So anyone want to tech me? PLEASE!!!
There isn't a lot to it honestly.
A warmer to keep pressure stable one it starts getting low, a gauge to keep an eye on it and a window switch in case you skip a shift.
You are an auto though. Point which direction you wanna go and drop the hammer.
You can pick up a plate kit cheap a long as you have enough hood clearance to accommodate the extra width.
Nitrous is instant power. Yea, you have to refill it, but its not something you use every time you leave from a stop sign.
