Am I the only one who quickly changes the radio channel whenever a Mark Down dealer commercial comes on the radio?? My gosh those are terrible ads. Its crap like this that makes me hate normal radio and want to get XM. If I had a longer commute I'd certaintly get XM.
Ok, rant off. Feel better now...

I have about 6 stations that I listen to. They are all set on the presets. Usually at least one of them has something that I like playing. So, for now... I ain't payin' for no stinkin' radio. My mom had some kind of sat radio in her Tahoe. I didn't think it was that great. Won't your deck play MP3s from CDs?

I don't dislike those commercials, nor do I enjoy them. In a word, they are "tolerable". I've heard much worse in my day. You have to admit, regardless of whether you buy a car there or not, you certainly have them at top of mind awareness level. Love them or hate them, the marketing strategy still worked... You know their name, that's what matters.
But, in general, I hate commercials.. and I'm a bit of an audio whore, so I need a bit of everything to satisfy my fickle audio "flavor of the day"
I have basically every preset taken on my head unit, both FM AND AM... (Gotta have my NPR, baybee)
I have the Sirius Satellite Radio, all presets used on it. 6 of the 18 presets are news stations alone, as I'm a news hound.
Plus the iPod, which at the moment has about 15 gigs (out of 40) on it.
Plus various CD's laying around, but I rarely use them as all of them are loaded on to the iPod.

my experience with Xm is that it was very low quality..almost like a super compressed mp3...basically all high and bass with very little midrange depth..sounde overly flat to me..
i can stand mark down, sometimes they are acutally funny, but here of late they kinda suck...i cant remember the last commercial that i heard so much it really pissed me off...i think it was a JD byryder commercial..." get the car that you deserve" sung by some shitty low quality band...seemed like it was on between every other song a few years ago...after a hard days work 35 miles from the house and have that commercial come on ( it was logn as well) would almost send me into road rage fits.

Yea, JD Byryder....another bad one. What I dislike about their ads is the finnancial entrapment that they do. For instance, they make it sound like you can have any car...just bring in your pay stub, they'll figure out your tax refund, tell you that you can easily afford just $XXX.XX per month and now you have a car of your dreams. No offense to anyone that has used their dealership but I'm just going off exactly what they say on the radio. Carrot dangling at its worst.

The mark-down ones crack me up! I think they are funny. (the first time) tehn once they play them like 5-10 times, they get old. Now, JD Byrider on the other hand! I cant stand them. bleh~!
