Neat idea. The thing is probably 200 lbs heavier. It's lke carrying around a fat chick all the time. He's got probably $400 in bondo alone. It would look cool by the time he finishes it. It was a nice looking little black hatch. Then he just had to go and buy some fender flares and then it all went to hell from there. Kinda reminds me of an eclipse spider in a way the new ones. eh... maybe not. Just a pile of bondo with a little motor and some wheels. lol I'd give him credit for not being afraid to try something different though. If he ever gets it done.

well..... ;-) I was just stating that the thing has to be extremely heavy. I havent used alot... only on the scoop and around the fenders. But, I understand the point. :-( I at no point said he shouldnt use bondo though... I only said he had alot of it.

Thats what I was doing with the old CRX (minus the wide body), except I would have been able to finish with about 1/10 the amount of filler he has on that thing.

why and the hell are people so frightened of filler? any massive body work is goina take a nice chunk of filler to get the body straight again. no metal fabrication is going to be perfect. yes ill admit the dude has some filler on there, but also the car isnt even sanded. how much of the actual product is going to be laying on the floor after its finished? probably most of it if the guy even has a clue how to body mod. any custom shop who does high end paint work generally puts a small coat of bondo over the ENTIRE car before its painted to take at all the low spots that may not be correct on the car. this is true for mainly hotrods and so on. that dude has some serious balls for taking a project on of such size. sure the car is heavy its not fast, but at what point did he probably ever want it to be fast? probably never. not everyone wants a fast car some people just want a personalized car that fits them and what they think a car should be. i think an assload of you forget that at somepoint along the way ragging on other peoples cars. I think the entire point of the build is to have a totally different ride than the norm. not to be some autox race car or a drag car. judging by MOST of your posts its obvious you havent done any SERIOUS metal work on a car. yes and im sure youll say some smart ass comment about this post, by all means go for it.

Well, it is mov"fast", not mov"style". Don't like the post, don't participate, and uh, most "hot rods", get brand new replacement fenders and such, and any body man of a high caliber a fits things properly, or matches the metal perfectly, otherwise, he isn't high quality, he's just like most out there, and needs to make up for not having tools, exp, time, etc.
