My friend got an ERZ 3" stainless downpipe for his SRT yesterday so we went ahead and installed it. The car was quite loud in the first place, or so I thought, and it sounded great for a stock car. Well, after telling him not to buy a DP without a cat, he bought one anyways  . There was already a lot of noise when the engine decelerated, but now it's just ridiculous lol. He said he definitely noticed a difference after he drove it for a while, but we have no dyno results or anything of course.
Anyways, fitment was great. The stock exhaust is held together with band clamps and this piece just slipped right in place. The top nut on the flange to the 02 housing was an absolute pain. It's 15mm for anyone who ever tries to do this. It's designed to stay in place, but the tab bends easily and it spins freely. Use penetrating lube on all the bolts and make sure you give it a few minutes to work. This car only had about 1000 miles on it and the top nut still stripped. Torque all 4 nuts back to 21 ft.lbs. You WILL need a long extension for this project. We bought a 24" extension for $10 at autozone. Also, the bolts that were included with the downpipe were slightly too large in diameter to fit in place of the top bolt (which is the only one is removed during the process...the other 3 are studs) so we had to go buy a new grade 8 bolt to go in place of it. That was a whopping $1.
