View Full Version : Converting .avi to .mpg software (free)

Seems like everything I find online either places a watermark or only lets me do maybe 50% of the file.

Looking for something that will do a good job that doesn't do the same as the aformentioned.

Any ideas?

i downloaded cucusoft avi converter through limewire, came complete with serial number to use it

I have the shareware version of it.

Good stuff, just only lets me do 50% of a file...

yeah i did the same thing ,then i downloaded the full version from limewire. it wasnt the newest but it worked easy enough.

Grabbed it up, works very well.

Now I am searching for a good DVD burner program....

Any ideas?

i have not used dvd x , i tried dvd shrink, it is very simple and free

Thats what I have.....even downloaded a newer version and I can't get the $%^%&^#$ license crap to work...

Cracks don't seem to generate the right key or something...

dvd shrink, It's an all in one program to burn copies of dvd's through a dvdburner ofcourse. Unless your trying to compress dvd to put it all on a cd. The dvd burner is the best way to go.

D/l'd DVD Shrink, seems pretty easy to use, although it still won't recongize my .avi or .mpg files....?

I have streamed it to the drive, then converted them using the Cusco stuff..

No luck as of yet...

Would be nice to find software that was an all in one shot....

nero takes mpg/avi and converts to dvd. What are you using to burn the programs? Are you actually burning to DVD or are you trying to compress them to fit on cd-r?

Well the version of Nero that I have, doesn't burn to Dvd, which is what I am trying to accomplish. However, I am in the process of downloading a newer version, gonna try that.

It's always for work. I work hard at my movie collection. Nero 6 is the version that you are looking for fyi if you didnt already know.

I d/l'd it earlier, haven't installed it yet...

Busy working on another project @ the moment..
