Well i was just wanting to get the step by step performance to hook my car up. now that its sitting. Right now im sitting on Straight exhaust with baffle and tip, Gsr computer, True Cold Air Intake w/bipass, high flow fuel pump, thats all i can think of for the motor. Would are some suggestions I could maybe do....

For other performance... I have gsr 15inch wheels, tokico blue Struts, neuspeed Springs(lowered 1.8inch), Front and rear strut bars, Rear Tie bar,

Best advice I can give is this.

Figure out how you want your car. Sounds easy, but sometimes its not. If you want to build an N/a machine or a boosted monster, it takes different parts to make that happen. You don't want to go buying a header and then realize you want boost and then that $250 bucks you just spent is useless b/c you need a turbo manifold....daily driver/autocross/drag car. Again, research what you want to do, and read about what other people have done and learn from there mistakes... 8)

Yea, good stuff Adam.

Joe, figure out what direction you want the car to go into:

Fast street-straight line ($)
Fast street- handling ($$)
Fast street-Both (more$$$)
AutoX- (way cheap..you can go now!)
Track car ($$$)
Rally car ($$$$)
1/4- ($..depends)

Usually a process might go like this:

1. cold air intake and mild exhaust (you are already there)
2. Maybe some more mild engine work (full exhaust, engine management etc..)
3. BRAKES- this is often overlooked. most people would jump on new springs, roll bars, shocks etc.. However if you car is going to be going faster, you really need to stop better. Plus, big brakes look cool. (show and go, hehe)
4. Mild suspension- roll bar, springs
5. Better upgraded brakes (big rotors, better pads, steel braided lines)
6. More engine work- turbo, built engine...
7. Coilovers suspension, swing arms etc..
8. Put car on diet. Take out un-needed stuff. "Gut the car"

Best upgrade of all:
High Performance Driver Education courses!! (track days/weekend)
(FYI, Robbie and I are going to Mid-Ohio Raceway this September with the BMW CCA club, weeee, whoooo, whoo..=very fast, very fun)

The above things are not necessarily in order (except the better brakes thing) but hopefully you'll get the overall picture.

Nice car Joe, I saw you buzz by me (I was in wifeys Honda Odyssey, yo VTEC!). Your car looked great. I'm sure you are a happy dude now!

Save your money for a while and start autocrossing. You'll get hooked. Then its fairly easy to know what path to put you on to getting faster times.

I'll be purchasing a set of Kumho Victoracer probably before the next autocross.

Just trust Davis and I. TAKE IT TO THE AUTOCROSS!!!

GSR ecu? I thought your car was nonvtec? That wont work for you. High flow fuel pump wont help unless you do some big time mods. True CAI runs out of the engine compartment were there is no hot air like behind the air dam. Straight exhaust wont be practical and be annoying. Go for a nice cat back system and header.

All of these mods were pre-mods that was on it b4 i got it. Im really not sure on the gsr ecu il have to check it out for sure, but i remember him saying something like that. The high flo is just for the future mods( turbo, hi-flo TB mani ect.) i know it doesnt do me any good now. And What exactly is wrong with a CAI ? you want cold air :? don't you ""inner cooler"". The exaust is the perfect sound that i wanted.. not to loud or to low. Just right there where i like it.. And im prolly not gonna get a header, because i wana turbo my car... header=wasted money... gotta get a turbo mani.. but thats down the road aways

I was just saying alot of people throw around the word CAI when a CAI can only be what it is recieving cold air not a funnel filter sitting in an engine bay. it has to either be out of the engine bay or getting it air through a scoop or something it has to get cold air.

Oh i didnt know what you were meaning.. yea mine goes thru my right fender recieving Air from the outside not the hot air from the motor..

but really what i want to do to my car is just to get it running better and stronger, Im not really looking to be much more faster than it is now, just get it ready for what i may do to it later on in the future, if that makes sence. Right now the rev. Limiter is set just over 8k(what ive heard from previous owner) So i would like to put an msd on it and set a rev. at around 6.5-6.8k rpms.. Thats my idea so far......

but i think i want boost 8)

dont just buy random parts hoping it will help. see what RPM you drop to when you shift gears and buy something accordingly that will bost power in that rpm range.
