In the next few days Google text ads will start to show up on topic pages. They'll show up at the top right of the pages. They are supposed to be relevent to the topic... we'll see.

Reasoning: Just to help pay for the site. I'm not gonna make a fortune on this. I doubt I'll see a payment this year(minimum $100 for a payout).

Rules:
1. No clicking just to "help Robbie out." Google frowns upon that and even has progamming to stop it. They can take the ads away if we abuse it. If you see something that strikes your interest, click away... otherwise don't click!
2. No discussions about particular ads.
3. I can't discuss how much money the ads make. So, don't ask.

A few other sites use this same format...seems to work well for them. Topics are on par with whats discussed in the posts.

it would be cool tho, bein as how say were on a topic about a particular vehicle ect. that no one knows much about.. i.e. new eclipse ect. something new out that no one knows much on, an the ad above pertains to info on it.

My sentiments exactly... I'm a fan of google, and I even like how "understated" their ads can be... I'm all for it. If it helps the site and doesn't detract from movFast's usefulness, I am definitely OK with it.

A few other forums I visit have google ads, and they are quite understated and are not obtrusive at all.... they only seem to catch your eye when they mention something of interest which is also good.... otherwise, I just ignore them.

yea they always appear to the right of the chat room thing for me but then again i am not using any skins so i dont know how that effects it

I use FireFox almost 100% of the time...

I hadn't seen the ad's until a while back I used IE for the first time in a while and saw them....

Just thought it was interesting....

odd..
to be honest i dont even notice it because its so small and it's the same color as the orig movFast skin that i use.. i never did change cause we never got any BLACK ones lol

I don't like/use the skins anyway. Same with the front portal.
