Since the show is tomorrow, I washed the beast off.

I was wondering what everyone uses....

If I am gonna wax it, I usually will wash it first with some type of dishwashing soap, to get all the road grime and oils off. Help cleans off some of the old wax me thinks.

Then I take a base wax, such as Meguirs cleaner wax and have @ it...

Buff that to a nice shine, then I was wondering about some sort of polish....?

I was down @ Randy Givens the other day, checking about dent removal....have a nice one on my fender....and he uses an auto glass polish....any good?

Anyone heard of it...oris there something else I can try?

Thanks all...

yea its what just about every car detail shop uses actually
and a little bit of polish goes a long long way..
you use maybe 1/3 of what you would normal wax/polish

Cool.

So do you just use the polish...no wax?

Or wax then polish?

Whats the standard routine...?

yeah the car brite stuff is great, i also use Finish First...I like it way better than liquid glass, and it lasts forever....as for the bugs and tar i usually use a dilluted mix of orange cleaner and water..seems to work good but it can strip wax.
