New ride. it's a 305 Kawasaki LTD... hmm.. It's got 6700 miles on it. Guess the yr. see if you can tell for the condt it's in. I have ab 3 hrs in cleaning it up. The guy had it under a tarp for the last month or so. Had a little bird shat on it, and a little surface rust here and there. But, I think I did a rather nice job of cleaning it up. Lil chrome polish, and elbow grease ;-) Remember, I've never had a street bike.

And you dont need to have a crazy fast bike to have a good time.

Just keep it on the backroads, where nobody will see you. Metrics are like fat chicks (and mopeds); it's all good, till someone catches you on them. :lol:

But, I can't say much. I lost the deposit on my Harley, because I decided to wait on it until we've got a house and Erica finishes school and starts working, which will be another 3 years or so. Got enough trouble with the Tahoe payment, an $850 apartment, property taxes, insurance, etc.

In fact, I might even get another 2 stroke, first. I used to run the AMA circuit back in the mid-late 80s, running with guys like Ricky Carmichael and Mike Jones. Lately I've been really jonesing to get back on the dirt. A hell of a lot cheaper ($5k vs. $35k), and I can enjoy it throughout more seasons .

I enjoy it. I'll have my license on monday, then I'll get to drive it to work. Another reason for the old bike like this is ins. $230/Yr. I mean you cant beat that. Also, 50+ Mpg. That says alot when you pay 2.50/gal.

It's not fun if you mess up once. Loose your license, or a leg or soemtihng. It kinda looses its fun. But it's something to learn on, then I'll see about a real sport bike. I'm getting comfortable on this one pretty quick since top speed is prolly only 70... But I dont have a lic. yet, so I only get to go out New England Ridge on it. So its kinda hard to get over 70 on a back road with no marking on it, and gravels.... I dont think ive had it over 55 though :-\ Next week I'll be on the road. (legally) Takin it kinda slow. :-) But I got a nice air conditioner :-)

i think you made an ok buy there. good starter bike so you dont kill yourself. just watch out for the gravel 8)

Go out and have fun on it. I rode my bike for a year without the endorsement. Most of the time even if you get pulled over they don't even notice. Right Jay lol :lol:

man i never had my endorsement.. finally i did go take my test an aced it
but that was like years later
and yea cops never even think to check for a motorcycle endorsement
an if they do say something just tell them you have your permit an you for got to put it in your wallet or something..

lol, I never thought of that. The reason I have to wait though is because my dad's got the title, and he doesnt have time to get the title work done, so it doesnt have a tag either. I'll get it done monday though. New England Ridge probably wont require tags though, cuz they ride 4-wheelers everywhere.

I was like wow, I felt like a douche, cuz you guys just looked at me like who the funk's wavin at me on that old piece of crap, I've got this big nice street bike, and he think's he can wave at us... Oh well. But yea, you were with another yellow bike too right? I got over it after I got back on the road. There's nothing like riding a motorcycle down the road in the middle of the night, I was cruizin down gran central around 11-11:20 and there were like 10 cars on gca, and i was like wow, this is kinda cool.
