well i was looking around for a while for a good one because my girlfriend downloads music and such, and i didnt like kazaa.. one i did find was Winmx i think you can find it an http://www.download.com or just do a search on http://www.msn.com for it.. Its the best program i have found so far.. 8)

try shareaza...it's not the fastest but it's really good and has no adware. I just got it about a week ago and I like it. Get it at downloads.com

Get's you complete albums, movies, games, the whole deal. It's not P2P (You won't ever have to worry about incomplete files and or mislabeled ones or ads or ANY bs like that) it's MUCH better...not to mention faster.

Trust me, it owns everything...i've never had ONE bad file and have been using it for well over a year. I use kazaalite for the single songs I might want here and there...but 95% of the time i'm downloading complete CDs/DVDs/Games (Yes everything is CD quality, even comes with front and back retail covers :shock: )

It's not for noobs...which is why it's so great. So anyone who wants in shoud AIM me and get the 2 min tutorial :wink:

I hate winmx, you might try to download a song, and it will still be trying 2 weeks later. Just not enough users to make it worth my while.

For me there's just way too much spyware on these free/shareware programs.

For music I just i-tunes. .99 a song is a bargain.

its kinda a bargain but if you think about it thats what cds cost.. $15 bucks for 15 songs :? .... But the spyware problem thats why i dont go with kazaa lite.... Ive never had a problem with winMx, also i use Spybot just to make sure no spyware is added.. 8)

I listen to a lot of bands that play short songs and put like 30 on a cd, so .99 is wayyy too much for me. I have not had a lot of luck with winMX, but I listen to a lot of not-so-mainstream stuff. Shareaza has no adware or or spyware at all.

If I got "into" MP3s I'd go with a fee based service. But, I don't have time to fool with stinkin' MP3s. Well... occasionaly... Such as I had to download the original Berlin version of "Take My Breath Away" to show my wife how much Jessica Simpson ruined it.

Go get Ares just search for it on yahoo. it is the best i have found. i have yet to find a bad file
