I am going to assume that it should bolt right in and i will of course need to get the computer and wiring harness's and the injector box for the MPFI swap. Will the stock hood work ok with the DOHC D16A1?

You're talking about a 1st gen Integra engine correct? I'll assume you are and its not a direct bolt in. The driver's side engine mount is different from on 4th gens. The 1st gen Integra is comparable to a 1st gen CRX or 3rd gen Civic. The 90-93 Integra has more in common with the 4th gen...and it doesn't bolt in either.
If you can fabricate a driver's side mount you may be able to use the engine...I don't recall if there are mounting issues for the engine to attach to the transmission.
What year Integra is it? The 86-87's had vacuum advance which doesn't work so well with the 4th gen Civics.

I am not sure of the year yet i gotta go take another look at the engine some time this week. Yes it is from a 1st gen Integra but im not sure if it was the A1 or the A3 yet the A3 was DOHC also right? If anything can i use the intake manifold for the MPFI swap? and the computer and such? Cause he only wants 150 for the motor. Found it in a junkyard up by me.

A1 will not work without alot of fabbing. Like said the motor mounts need fabbed and also there is an issue with the tranny bolting up, one or two bolts will not line up. Your best bet is to do a MPFI conversion then you can get a A6 or newer head or just go all A6.

Will the intake manifold and injectors from that integra work for the MPFI or is that where the vaccum problems are on that motor? 150 isn't a bad if i can get the injectors/TB/and fuel rail and maybe the harness. Then sell the rest on ebay.

I don't think its worth the hassle. First find out why he is selling it. Is the engine even in working condition? If so, part it out or sell it as a hole....maybe a chance to make some cash.... 8)

he's selling it that cheap cause it's a junk yard and not a very big one. He claims it's freshly rebuilt and has only been there like a month or so. He said he knew the guy which is possible cause the car is in a very local junk yard.

You have to find out what year.

what would be the point... all the work for little to no gain. if you are going to do a swap i reccomend a b-series motor swap or a h-series unless you can afford a k20

the integra motor will not work without alot of extra parts, and the power gain is not that great, for about 200 more you could get a JDM ZC dohc non-vtec from Nippon motors, the zc will work with the usdm mpfi set up and the usdm d-series tranny and axles, also the motor mounts are the same.OR do what dave said and go all d16a6...just find a donor civic or crx si and gut it...if you go with the zc swap, you can use the civic si or crx si ecu, or alot of the time people will upgrade using the 1986-89 integra 5-speed ecu for it seems to have better fuel and ignition maps....but the si ecu will work fine.

Actually Andy the ZC ecu is the best (i wonder why?) But if you use a Teg ecu you cannot use the 86-87 it has to be 88-89. The A1 is a waste of time 113hp isnt worth the trouble.

yeah u r right dave, the 88-89 teg ecu is the one I was meaning. The zc ecu is recommended, but when i bought my motor for my old crx, they didnt have the ecu in stock....kinda strange....so i ended up using the teg ecu. L8R
