Speedboats and car shows July 8-9th (Updated w/Pics)

This Fri-Sat

Fri evening there will be a "block party" from 6pm-1am I believe near the Levee.

Then Sat from 1-10pm there will be the Speedboats and the car show on Front or 2nd street.

I will be there, assuming the weather is clear.

Saw it a few years back, definatly a good time, those boats are fast...

Well, I hit up the events in Marietta today.

Went with my buddy Adam, Cam and Jordan.

Saw Don Juan there, is car looked spotless.....

Here are a few pics....

The Car show didn't have a huge turnout like it did last year....

Few classics, mustangs, etc.

Boats were cool, they were flying on the river, speeds in excess of 120mph+

Ha ha ha. Too bad I smashed my baby up on a hill. I don't know what it was. I think I wasn't used to the added weight or something, but I should have been able to pull through that turn. Oh well. Shit happens.

You will be fine. Clean up the lip, buff the bumper.....never know it happened.


I can tell ya exactly why...we came over that hill and when the weight came off the back tires, they lost traction....when you lifted on the throttle it was all over from that point...

Had you rode it out, I think you would have saved it....

But then of course it's easy for me to say, b/c I was in the back seat instead of behind the wheel....
