Well crap. The overdrive is out on the t-bird. They guy I traded with told me everything was ok with the transmission, and just about everything else. It needed an idle controller, so i got that. Well, i drive it along the highway, and the transmission wouldnt go into overdrive, it just kept revving and revving. So is there any legal action i can take? We wrote out bill of sales, and we both put "as is" on them, but he told us, me and my family, that the transmission was a-ok. So yeah, im pretty pissed off :evil:

I'm sure you can find a tranny in a junkyard somewhere. Lookm around or post up if it gets to that point.

Legally, you would have to prove that he defrauded you. Not easy to do when a contract states as is and its a used car.

If it comes down to it, ill get a tranny at eddies. But im still really pissed off that he would lie to my family, and myself for that matter. And all that pain and suffering, and the financial burden of that thumb incident makes it alot worse. Now i have a stranger view about the people around here, and how they will take advantage of someone. I also called a transmission guy my dad knows, and he said that it could be a modulator valve. Hes gonna look at it next week, but i seriously doubt its that simple. Its my mistake, and now i have to live with it I guess. But hey, i guess i have something to work towards, and I still have the escort (which im beginning to enjoy oddly). I have to kick myself in the arse for this one, and just take whats coming to me i guess.

I should of Jay :( lol. I was telling my g/f the same thing. My dad told him what was "up", and hes being compliant. He sold my car to this guy, and is in the process of trying to get it back. It made me feel a little better, but im still pissed that someone took advantage of my trust. It kind of feels like your wife or g/f cheating on you, and going with another man, say like your friend. I dunno what that feels like, but i still feel like crap
