We have some, right?

Ok, if you'll remember back a few months, I put a new CD/MP3 player (Pioneer DEH-7600MP) in the Sube, along with some coaxials. I put These 6.5s (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-z6otIpF1HeE/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=130TSA1680) in the front doors, and some similar 4s in the rear doors.

But now, I want it louder, and I'm starting to second guess my purchase. RMS on the front speakers is only 50W, and I'm wondering how they would sound with 50W through them. Would I be better off getting a full component set up front? I can get the Blaupunkt VCc 650 set for a great price, and they'll handle 120W RMS.

Rear speakers only handle 20W, but thats not a factor. I'm just going to leave them out/off the HU for imaging purposes.

I'm more concerned with SQ, but I do want it to get loud. Will the existing Pioneers be loud enough with only 50W, to compensate and compliment whichever pair of 10s I put in the back?

Ordered 100sq ft of sound dampening, too, so I'll be doing all the doors and hatch this weekend.

id say get the front coaxils, then get a small amp to power jsut them and leave the rears hooked to the headunit for jsut some rear fill. using the component set would allow u to bring the sound up to about head level and put it in your face instead of making it seem liek tis coming from behind you.

i agree dont unhook your rears, however i think i would match the power handling of them to that of the front ones then run them all off of a small amp. the sound quality will be much higher plus you can run them crossed over to weed out any low bass tones going to them an let your subs handle that task

Er, sorry, when I said "off the head unit", I meant I would just leave them running off the head unit, and not powering them with an amp like I would the fronts. Sorry.

For sound quality, I've been told several times to not power the rear doors, because it f'ks up imagine.

Anyone know much about blaupunkt speakers?
