PICTURES!!
I been too busy workin on it to take any pics. I did however make an attempt yesterday, turned the camera on, an it died. Batt's were dead.
After fixing some of the stuff that had been redneck-rigged on this car I still had an excessive vacuum leak. But I got everything that was half-assed fixed an done properly so now on to fix the other things.. I pulled it out of the garage, sat in it an kept it runnin while Rusty sprayed starting-fluid around the vac lines and intake. As soon as he got to the back of the intake it pegged 7k-rpm allmost instantly. I had kinda figured the intake was leaking anyhow but this just proved my theory before I ended up pulling the upper off. Bythis time most of my neighbors are outside wondering what in the hell is going on cause the car is so loud. So I put it back in the garage an let it cool down a bit, then start the dis-assemble process that I have done 5x before. I get everything unhooked, throttlebody off, and misc brackets ect. Get all the bolts out of the upper and it's stuck.. no biggie, used to happen to every mustang I ever worked on, tap it with a rubber mallet right? Nah.. not this time. I didnt really notice from being hard to see down in there, but when the jewbag who had the car prior to me had the intake off it was replaced w/out the use of a gasket, and then silicone was smeared outside of it to seal it..
Needless to say I have just tore everything off of the top of the motor an am starting fresh. Everything on this car has been halfass so there's no sense in going this far with it and not fixing everything.

that makes me mad hearing that someone didnt put a gasket on that. You'd think after they did all of that to that car, they would go down to auto zone or some place and buy a gasket for it, or get some gasket sealer stuff.

Correct me if i am wrong but silicon is a great gasket sealer and i am sure it worked great its just no good if you need to take the gasket back off...?

well yeah, its pretty good i guess, but when you put it on after you put the intake on, thats really dumb lol.

It could of been pulled off im sure, but not in the manner the previous owner went about it.

thats what i got for my gst manifold
Well I got everything replaced, back together, bla bla..
It went from running with a real bad idle problem to flooding itself out allmost instantly when I try to start it. Im getting rather irritated with this pile of shit.

If it is as half assed as you say it is, it could have the wrong computer in it :(
Nah it has the correct comp, and I corrected everything that is half assed. I believe the cold start flooded it (rotaries are so prone to flooding it isnt funny) then it just continued to flood worse from there. There's a un-flood process to a rotary, I pulled the plugs an wow.. theyre soaked.
I got it un-flooded, still dont idle properly.. got pissed an said "fukc it" it's goin for a test drive anyhow. Out of my neighborhood bonnet-less the car rolls on twards Dupont. I roll into 1st gear an instantly it makes boost.. 2nd gear I ease into a bit, rear end still tries to step out once it hits max boost. Guess I should of remembered to tighten the elbows on the intercooler.. it's got some boost leak you could hear it plain as day an it hit me that I didnt tighten the clamps down, oh well.
Basically it was one HELL of a fast trip to Dupont and back.. Turbo whining, BOV raising hell, it was great.
Got home, pissed cause even tho I had a huge smile on my face from the car screaming down the road I realised I had to find/fix another problem. Pulled it into the garage, yep, vac line on the back of the intake must of came off when I re-installed the upper intake..
All in all the car is pretty flippin fast. Tomorrow im going to get up and decide if I am going to yank the upper off again and fix the vac problem or just say screw it and pour gasoline on it an have a bon-fire where I shall make smores.
