I agree....wouldn't think I would like it, until I saw it done....

Naw engine mods and stuff I've done the research for it and i see no point for a v6 t bird :-( and I'm not big on cosmetics so if anything lowered and some rims. Otherwise i want the new pioneer cd player 9600mp i have the 8500 but i want that color screen, the new kicker solos, an amp for the interior speakers, then some new interiors and ill be happy lol.

The fatsest Thunderbirds are V6s and they make a aftermarket S/C for it not to mention the Factory one.

Yea i got the RCA's but it kinda got worse now i can hear my engine through my subs. Im getting ready to rip out everything an just re install it again lol. And id never really heard anything about supercharger kits for the v6's all i ever heard was that the 3.8l v6 ford made was the crappest engine that they've made. I heard they are weak and cant handle much stress. I figure why waste the money jsut wait a yr get a new car when i move out :-).

http://www.tccoa.com (the thunderbird cougar club of america) They say you can do the swap and drop i nthe supercharged v6 from the supercoupe but, it would take a lot of money and some time so youd be better off just buying a super coupe same as a v8 swap.
Heres a whole post maknig fun of the ol 3.8 http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.php? ... ight=turbo (http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25618&highlight=turbo)

Ok i looked further into the supercharger thing and I ahve learned a few things. To adapt a supercoupe supercharger onto an NA 3.8 V6 would be a waste of time. It would be easier to get a supercoupe engine and swap it into the car, but either one would be a pain in the ass royaly and alot of money. I guess they make a vortech supercharger kit made for a mustang which would require some metal cuting ac line changes and blah blah blah not what id want to do lol.

True. Ive been looking int othat whole supercharging thing and ts getting more and more tempting. It seems like basically i need to get a donor car a place to put the donor car and my car and somewhere to do the work, but it seems like a fun project that would yeild some power. Thanks for sparking my intrest dave.

hahah. Sometimes i miss this thing. Thunderbirds jsut didnt have the performance im looking for though. Even with a crap ton of mods youd be lucky to hit the 13's from what i saw during my research

yeah, but youd be doing it in style!

I know my car isnt a race car, its just something comfortable and nice to drive. If i did make it into a race car, id be like every other idiot that thinks their honda economy car is a race car.
