Getting a car with no owner

Theres this car thats been sitting down by this house for like 4 years, and my dad found out that the people who lived there are dead. How would I go by getting this car? I wrote down the VIN, and by that, what can the state of ohio do for me?

you are probably going to have to contact the next of kin, or any other close relatives to the people that owned the car. then contact the dmv or bmv whatever it is over there and ask them what paperwork is needed to switch the title. The main thing is to probably just find the relatives of the people and go from there.... 8)
