It's from 10am-4pm.
$10 to register and it starts @ 9:00.
Non Judged event, but they will give prizes via a drawing...
I have never been, but here good things, they always dyno a few differnt cars also....
If time allows, I may take some race fuel with me and throw mine on, if possiible....depends on weather and what not...
I plan on showing up but will be leaving early b/c I am going with Jordan and a friend to HIN that evenin in Cleveland...

The way it worked in the past was that when you enter your car you get put in a drawing. They draw names ever half hour or so and if you get drawn you get to put your car on the dyno for free.
It is definately cool to see all the different cars on the dyno. I've seen a couple of real nice ones go up in smoke....literally!!!! Some dude year before last had a sweet 69 camaro and he smoked his transmission while on the dyno!
I'll definately be there!!!!

I went last year, and it was the best show of the summer. I was draw to be the 3 car put on the dyno. I beleive they give 6-8 pulls away. One of the different cars on the dyno, will be Bishop. Should be a good turn out, so far we are taking both cars ( Mustang and Impala), SVT venom, Bishop and a couple others are going. Hope to see ya there!!

Unfortunately my smaller pulley didn't come so I won't be making the number I hoped for. :( I lost 2 lbs of boost with the methanol and I needed the pulley to get it back.

Well the methanol should just cool the intake charge down, which of course would mean the air would be more dense, which I guess that means you would lose the two lbs, but it also should mean that the physical amount of air particles is the same, thus making it the same hp you were at?
does that sound right?

Other than the rain, it was cool.
There facility is top notch, I can't actually get over it.
I was waaay impressed.
Jordan and I did not enter, but we attended.
We met James, his g/f, Jay, Josh, & Johnathon, and my buddy with the 65 stang.
Anyway, they had a person cancel on the dyno, so they asked me to try it...
I ran home, grabbed the 110 and gave it a shot.
Best I did on 21lbs was 354whp & 292wtq.
At first I was concerned b/c I felt my car didn't make as much power as I had hoped for.
Odd, b/c it made as much tq on 350 as it did on 400?
Anyway, Keith with the 600+ Stang jumped on after me and bested a 560...
So he was down close to 50 ponies as well..so I didn't feel as bad...
It was terribly humid, and I feel that had alot to do with it...
I am stilling running way rich also, mostly for safety reasons...
Anyway, I had a great time, I will try and get the pics up later tonight or tomorrow....
Off to HIN....

I never heard any of the comments, but each to there own....I give respect where respect is due, unfortunaltly not all feel the same.
Anyway, we hit up HIN and it was fun....much of the same ol same ol....seems the more we do to our cars, the easier it is to figure out what sucks and what is special....very few cars fit the aftormentioned description..
I did enjoy the T&A....

thats kinda the way Bob is. hes allright, but if its anything other than an old school mopar, he doesnt get too excited.... I don't even think he knows he is coming off like that. Oh well. That does really suck he didn't give you respect when obvisouly you deserved it, Adam. Putting that much down, in a car that light, with that many cubic " 's is saying something. he might have been more respectful. Even to Jon and me I felt like he wasn't very impressed (more so than yours though :( ) Mostly all he talked about was the old school muscle, and they didnt have anything over me and jon (except for the green one, and he only made as much as me acuople weeks ago, and the owner and the engine builder had been telling me in the weeks leading up to this that it was going to put down 800+ to the wheels. Boy were they disappointed LOL.)
But, even with the rain it was a pretty cool day. I was surprised to see the GT and black Viper there too. To boot, the guy that owned them was cool as hell.
Anyway, Keith with the 600+ Stang jumped on after me and bested a 560...

To say I was pissed about my number is a huge understatement... (probably the same feeling you had, Adam ;) ) I couldn't figure it out, as the weather was about 10 degrees (or more) cooler than when I dynoed a couple weeks ago. After I left there, i took it across the bridge, and instantly found out what was wrong.... boost was only 6.8(!) My belt was slipping severely (i had put a new belt on right before I drove it to the show, and it must have stretched being that it was new...) Anyway, I since tightened it back up (I know, excuses are like A-holes... and I sound like I am making a good one right now LOL) and now am making 14.8 and its pulling better than it ever has (previous dyno was with 12.8lbs of boost, no methanol, & 21* timing. It put down 602.4 in that trim. Now its making the aforementioned 14.8lbs of boost, with 31* timing and w/ menthanol.)
I'll shut up now with the exxcuses, but I have another dyno time set up for thursday evening at around 7:45PM. ;) )

True, but taking a car that makes the same or more HP than a full blwon race car, and putting it into a TRUE street car with AC, radio etc.. and can drive to and from the track might be saying something and some people might be impressed. But some others won't. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

thx. They are 11.75" I actually think the smoke might have been from a little blow-by coming from the rear main seal and hitting the exhaust... haven;t watch the video yet, but thats at least what Jon said it was...
too bad I didn't see you, would have liked to met ya.
(didn't even get to talk to ADam. I got there late, and as soon as I rolled in, they were ready for me. After I was done, I BSed with some other people, and then everyone was gone LOL ) Oh well.

I still find it odd my car made as much torque on 400whp as it did on 350whp...so something is up, looks like I might have a leak in the system somewhere....
The car will be going in the garage soon for some time. Give it the once over, checking all piping, hoses, clamps, etc....
Thinking this winter I have a few fun things to try...
Lsd, Revamp the valvetrain, maybe if I am feelin frisky enough a new block....
I can't let a mustang beat me....with 600whp+ ...lol....

I know, I gotcha. :) I've known Bob (and his brother Ron- whom I havebeen good friends with for about 15 years) and your correct, hes (and even more so RON! lol) exactly like that. Good guys, though. I guess everyone is just going to be partial to what they like/grown up with.
Possible I guess dono, just know a lil smoke was comin from somewhere looked like tires but I may be wrong. We said the same thing as you in your previous post tho. You hop in a streetable vehicle you could or may even use as a daily driver with full exhaust and all the luxury goodies an drive down the street while the full blown race-car gets trailor queened in an puts down about the same #'s as you. Granted wit hthe suspension setup ect. he had im sure the Mopar did hook well on the track but still.. I was not impressed.
Jordan an Adam bolted not long after your run, me an Josh stayed til the GT got on the Dyno then when they coldnt hook it up we bounced. I didnt know that was your car or I woulda yelled at ya. Thing is pretty flippin sweet that's for sure. I was suprised at how quiet it was off idle. Once it got up in the 4k range tho the sound really comes to life

I wouldnt worry about me, I would worry about Insley when he gets the spray hooked up on his this winter. That will be a nasty machine when he does.
Get that thing to hook up alittle better, and you two will be duking it out for king of the valley (unless ryan gets a whipple on his, then it will be a toss up between all of you...) Oh wait, and theres also Ash and his 383 w/ a YSi trim... and that Supra with the single... DAMN, gonna be somefast cars in the valley next year(!) (And I thought this year was great!)
(too bad I won't be around in mine next year...) (but I'll be back with something up my sleeve, you can be sure of that. :twisted: )

i honestly though it smelled like and looked like tire smoke, the car is really nice, i made the comment to jay if you had huge headers and no mufflers like the green mopar that was stroked to a 528,you would have been a good bit higher.

Here is my chart from a couple weeks ago: The two pulls are two different tunes. One is with a total of 21* timing, and the other is a tune w/ 17*. Notice that although there is nearly a 50hp decrease between the two, but the torque is only ONE (1!!) off. Weird...
Also i wanted to point out that he (Bob) cut me off at 5750RPM on this pull and as you can see by the curve, it was still making power. If he would have recorded where I reved it out more, it would have easily made another 15-20 or so.

The first graph was with 21* timing and 13.8lbs of boost. The second is with 31* and only 6.8lbs of boost (slipping belt. :x )

You can clearly see where the belt started to slip, and the curve went flat (at 5000RPM) and then quickly fell off (instead of continueing to climb like it should have.) The difference in the two pulls here is not a change in the computer like the first, but the difference between how well the belt grabbed.

Another thing I found intersting.... even though the HP was well down (thanks to the belt) the torque was still substantially higher (nearly 600ft lbs versus 567 from the first run.) This is an obvious clue that it likes the additional timing. The timing increase doesn't show up till above 4000RPM, and then increases expotentially to 6200 (to a total of 10* more.) at 4000 RPM, I made the same HP as the first chart/run (both are at 400HP at that point.) At 5000RPM, I am making apx. 30-35 more on the second run (and then it falls flat immediately after that.) If the belt didn't slip, I would think that it would hopefully increase to somewhere in teh 85-90 range more HP than the first chart/run (putting it near 700.) However, at somepoint, my heads & intake are going to scream "NO MORE!" and pretty much going to refuse to flow anymore air and it will fall on its face. Just don;'t know where that point will be. (But I will find out thursady. :) )

What i find strange is that you were making apx. 25+ more HP at 5000 where your boost would be lower... (correcrt?) Its like your car was down on power for some reason right off the bottom end...

That is some major belt slip!! Mine had that at the end when I got it tuned but it was from spark blowout.

Nah, not stupid, just resourceful ;) (esp considering a replacement 315-30-18 Pzero Nero runs about $400 clams, and it cant be fixed since its in the sidewall :( ) Someone asked me that if it went flat there, and i said 'yea, but I fixed it.' They were like 'really, already, how?' I said I put the nail back in. :P

That is some major belt slip!! Mine had that at the end when I got it tuned but it was from spark blowout.
So how is 572 with 6.8 lbs of boost? :P

What size rear tires are you running out of curiousity?
Also did your drivers rear tire go flat or what after your dyno run?

Nah, not stupid, just resourceful ;) (esp considering a replacement 315-30-18 Pzero Nero runs about $400 clams, and it cant be fixed since its in the sidewall :( ) Someone asked me that if it went flat there, and i said 'yea, but I fixed it.' They were like 'really, already, how?' I said I put the nail back in. :P

I know I was just messing with you. We had the same problem when we went to the beach in June. Got some metal stuck in the sidewall of the Explorer. Had to buy a new tire there.

That is the first thing I thougt of. I cant imagine the car with max boost.

I made 461rwhp on saturday, only to be beat by Bishop and the 528 Duster. Not bad, mind you full exhaust on pump gas. Considering there was full out race cars with no exhaust on race gas. After most everyone left the black Chevelle(race car) with a 466 made 395, and another A-Body Mopar, 360 small block with spray (race car) made 385. So I was happy.
It is true that I am thinking of the spray, but you never know. 6 psi wouldn't be out of the questions or equation. Bishop and I have talked.
Ok this is going to get weird, there is 2 dragons.........
Forget who said there were unimpressed earlier, but I think that the people that dyno'ed from movfast did great.
And the ppl bad mouthing Bob about giving Adam a hard time didn't listen very well, he did say that it was very good numbers and the technologly of the import 4 cylinder cars are surpising. And out of everyone that ran Adam was the only one who ppl clapped for!
