Well my car isn't 100% complete but I think I can bring it into town to "show off" my new mani. The sound is absolutly unreal. The turbo whine is pure sex....I honestly don't want to hook my exhuast back up... Car pulls extremly hard @ 9lb now. Its running really crappy since I don't have a primary o2 hooked up.....so I won't be out running around as much until its done, but I can limp it into town.

One word....CRAZY......when boosts hits, hold on, @ 6k in first gear my tires break free from vtec+boost....its insane...and you hear them gripping and squealing for traction, 2nd comes up way to fast as they again lose traction from the 1-2 shift which leaves me @ 40mph. Before I know it I am doing 60mph and need to shift to 3rd where they again break free. 3rd is my gear and holds out until 80mph where 4th comes into play still pulling like crazy...and before I know it I am looking @ 100+mph. So I slow back down just as fast....

I think if I get some practice with this setup 13's should easily be withing my grasp. I know I am trapping easily @ 100mph+. Question is how well can I launch it....time will tell.....

Have you done any internal work to that beast? If not, how well do they hold up to that kind of punishment? Just curious, not trying to bust your bizzalls.

under 10lbs = safe tuned.

Its not even so much the amount of boost you are running, its the hp you are making. A stock b16 bottom end can hold 300+ hp no problem without being built, as long as its tuned....I am no where near that. But tuning is on the horizon for sure.

I am hitting 9lbs. Sorta tuned on a Vafc...I am going to take it and have it done professionaly when $$ allows ASAP. Until then I am ok, as long as I don't rag on it. I will baby it. I don't think I have shifted past 7k but a handful of times in the past 2 months.....

Well, I thought I might be down tonight, but its only going to happen if I can slap my CRX back into shape. I pulled the cams to check the torque on the head bolts but when I put it back together it feels much weaker then it used to. So...it looks like I get to pull it apart again and check to see if the timing belt skipped a tooth or something :evil:

Maybe you should just use the WRX from now on:)

or

transplant the WRX engine into the CRX...that shouldn't be hard at all:)
