OFFICIAL TIME & PLACE:
Saturday 21st @ Williamstown City Park @ 1:00 pm.
I have decided to take this upon my own shoulders and organize some fun for all of us.
First we need to decide on what day...so vote.
Here are a few ideas to get started....I was thinking maybe a local park. Something like Mountwood Park or whatever. I would even be up for having it @ my house. I have a nice grill and everything, a whole street to park on and I live close to everyone.
Post up some ideas. I thought after the cookout we could take a little drive on one of the roads....work off some of the food we just ate....I will leave the planning on where up to one of the members...
If everyone chips in we would have a nice party. Here is a list we will keep updated as people reply. This will be a good time, if we get a good turnout....Lets have fun with this.... 8)
Hamburger Meat/Buns - C_Note
Lighter Fluid - RobbieNelson
Tin Foil - SiAdam
Charcoal Briquets - RobbieNelson
Must. Ketchup, Relish, Pickles. (conds.) -

Beverages & Ice - GTScortX
Spices (Garlic Woster. Sce. B.Pepper, Salt) -
Disposable Plates, Cups & Napkins - Joewhite

Not to be a party pooper, but no alcoholic beverages....you can save that for the after party.... 8)

I'm thinking we are going to need a few different people to furnish the food. Hamburger, etc.
Have we decided as a group where we want our festivites to be?
Someone through out some ideas...time is winding down.

you were at mountwood recently right?
how was it out there?
imo, we should have it somewhere 'public' so that doesnt put the pressure on anybody in particular with, prep/clean up of their own place.. plus parking is usually not an issue at a state/city park..
just a thought.

Thats what I would prefer. Mountwood was actually really nice. I had a good time last time I was there. Parking wasn't a problem either. I will go ahead and vote now for Mountwood.

It seems its a week away, and there has been very few volunteers. Either nobody cares to go, or everyone else expects everyone else to bring something and be lazy and eat off someone elses dime.
So you know what....I'm done. If someone else wants to try, be my guest...otherwise...forget it....

Adam, It's not that I'm not interested, I just can't commit. We have a major furnace outage scheduled for next week at Eramet. I'm not sure when it will be over. There is a good chance I'll have to work all weekend. If I can make it I will, but I can't commit.
Don't get discouraged! I really appreciate the effort!

First, I think, there needs to be some definites for people to confirm. Is it going to be the 21st, at Mountwood park? What time? You might have missed it, but I said I could make hamburger patties. So that leaves:
Lighter Fluid -
Tin Foil -
Charcoal Briquets -
Must. Ketchup, Relish, Pickles. (conds.) -
Hotdogs -
Buns -
Cold Salads (Potato Salad 0r Macaronni) -
Spices (Garlic Woster. Sce. B.Pepper) -
Spices will be added to the hamburgers before I form them, and my burgers get nothing but compliments, so additional spices won't be an issue. It would be nice to get some idea of how many people are sure they'll be there, so I know how much ground chuck to buy (1lb = 3-4 patties). I can pick burger buns to go with them.
I had a bad experience with cold salads a few years ago, so I'm still not too keen on them. What I can do, though, is make up a big batch of baked beans (not pork & beans, good ones).

ok.. I'll be there unless something drastic comes up..
i'll bring the hotdogs and buns.. now all i need its a count on who will be there..
(i dont want to have to be cutting the hot dogs in 3 pieces to feed everbody :P)

Is Mountwood Park to far away?
Would anyone be interested in moving it closer, say City Park in Parkersburg or City Park in Williamstown...close, and still provides plenty of room for parking/seating/etc....
Thoughts...? 8)
Also @ the very least, PLEASE reply and say if you are gonna be attending with a simple yay or nay...
Thanks in advance.... 8)

They usually sell them in bulk, ie 100 or 500.
Just grab a pack...better to have to much than not enough, besides its not like they spoil...... 8)

So, I said to myself: We need to get a movFast "footlocker" to keep leftover non-perishables in. That way we have them for next time.
Self said: That's a grest idea. I'll head that up. Look for it at the cookout. It'll be arriving in a blue Evolution.

Na way man, the thought of being seen during the day within range of you might ruin my social standing Dave...nevermind the actual act of being seen near you in public ;)
In actuallity I thought I had plans for Saturday so I didn't commit to come...I found out Saturday that I didn't, but at that point I thought it was too late to decide to come to the meeting and decided to just goof off and have a "nothing" day.
