Sorry to be nit picky but I don't want any dew justice to be taken away from a true lingenfelter corvette. The car that was there sunday was a Z06 with a lingenfelter twin screw supercharger. This is a Lingenfelter Corvette http://www.fast-autos.net/lingenfelter/ ... 650tt.html (http://www.fast-autos.net/lingenfelter/lingenfelter650tt.html)

I don't know. I mean, it wasn't turbo'd, and he was only running 7 lbs supercharged. Maybe if it had a built bottom end, then would you considered it? Thats a fine line, it was built by lingenfelter so thats good enough for me....

I consider it was a lingenfelter....after all it had the sticker that said so...we all know stickers are always true........ 8)

I'm not trying to be an ass I'm just saying that calling that car a lingenfelter corvette is like calling a mustang gt with a saleen supercharger a true saleen. Its wrong and I will not stand for it, and I will cry if anyone says otherwise. :(

I hope you have tissues Jeremy ;)

So what make's a Corvette (or any other car for that matter) a Ligenfelter car?

Lingenfelter is an aftermarket company who in no shape, way, or form takes stock GM cars, dumps thousands into them, and then tries to resell at dealerships. Making a comparo with a Saleen S/C is a little off base. Having a TRUE Saleen is somewhat prestigious, Lingenfelter doesn't offer any Lingenfelter (insert vehicle name here) for sale at any dealer. They simply install their own parts (along with other aftermarket parts) and the vehicle is badged as a Lingenfelter.

Lingenfelter installs their own variety of 'kits' that consists of a wide array of goodies. This one that you see here looks to be an intercooled Magnuson (Polished for an extra $1k) and lots of other fun stuff. Plus, a wide range of upgrades for each level...

They have a variety of kits that range from strokers to yes, twin turbo set ups.

IIIIII say any Corvette with one of their 'kits' is a true -Lingenfelter Corvette-

So yeah, that Lingenfelter 'vette looks sweet

BTW for anyone who is curious, the actual 1000bhp Lingenfelter Corvette (The one that WAS featured in Motortrend) is a kit that costs just north of 100 thou.
