View Full Version : 90 Mustang (56k warning)

1990 Mustang LX ( 4cyl car )

I got this car off my brother about a week ago for an old chevy truck. The 4cyl. car recently got a newly rebuilt stock 306 from a 79 truck and an aod tranny. The trans. was slipping and I wanted to do some things to the motor so I decided to pull them both with some help from Jeremy. The trans. will recieve a rebuild while the motor gets a budget heads/cam/intake/carb combo to get by while a better EFI stroker and a 5 speed is in the works. As time and money allows the car will also recieve plenty of interior and exterior cosmetic upgrades as well. Thought some of you would enjoy the pics.

There's a 4cyl notchback in town they yanked the 4cyl out of an dropped in a 460.

All kyle was trying to do was show you guys his new project and all this happens. Well anyway it was fun taking out that engine and trans, I hope that kyle is able to do all the things to this car that he wants to and turns into something nice.

you got a nice project going on there. Sorry this thread got out of hand it must of happened quickly i have been working the last couple days on night shift. You ever think of doing a turbo 4 cylinder mustang? i have seen them done with the turbo Thunderbird motor.

Although that is not the direction I plan to go with this mustang that is an interesting idea that I have considered before. I have never seen one built but I have looked into the factory SVO turbo mustangs which in their (84-86) were faster than the GT. I am sure this is not news to you or most people reading this...just interesting. I am sure building one from turbo coupe would be a lot more cost effective than buying a real svo and also more entertaining. Although this would make a killer sleeper, chances are if I ever own a turbo 4cyl. it will have an "H" on the front end instead of a blue oval.

You wouldn't happen to know a site I could look at with an example of one of these being built?

Ahhh another mustang! :shock: Even the 5.0's have more room under the hood to work then my car does, what the deal is?! :?
