Kanawha Valley Speedway July 29th *thursday* its on!!!!!!!!!

I have been working hard to have my car race ready by then.

I would like to see if anyone would be interested in going down on a Thursday evening. Usualy starts @ or around 5:00-9:30. We would have to leave a little before. Its test and tune night. You are able to get several runs in. Not very far @ all. Cost is usally something like $10 bucks to run your car.

Is anyone interested, lets set something up and make a little cruise down, providing weather permits.

I am not giving rides, b/c I will be pulling my seats/sub/spare/etc for some added weight redux......

Curious as to what I can squeeze out.....This is my first time, so I am not expecting anything crazy..... 8)

Last time I was at National Trails it was $5 and you got another 1/8th mile to play with. Tell me how it goes the Neon is not a 1/8 mile charger.

I would like to go see, can't hurt....I don't know where it is though.....lol... I was hoping to get some more people , but it doesn't seem very many want to go....

Yes you can run side by side. You just line up and run who ever is next to you and if you were like me you got lined up against every thing from a 11sec Vega to a Silverado.

Well, as far as I am concerned, I could care less who is beside me, b/c I am not there to "race" anyone, I am there to work on getting my times down, and launching my car smoothly.

After the fact, it would be cool to look back and see how I compared, but overall its for me this time.

I think my car is capable, but the driver is what is going to be lacking.

So everyone wish me luck....lol....

I don't have any real goals, just to get out of the whole strong. I guess I am shooting for 8's....that would land me solidly in the 13's according to this formula (8th mile time) multiplied by 1.56 = 1/4 mile time.

For example, even a 8.9 x 1.56 = 13.8

Which would make me happy.... 8)

Its winding down, only a few hours until go time. I will let everyone know how it went, when we all get back.

Weather is beautiful, so as long as we have a safe trip down/back I will be happy and call the evening a success..... 8)
